If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... In So Cal, there appears to be an abundance of Tellurides in stock at area dealers. Went to Kia of Irvine yesterday and they must have had 20 or so cars in stock. Salesman told me they were selling Tellurides for $5,000 over sticker two months ago. Now they’re at MSRP. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re on sale in the next month or so.

It was only a matter of time, hot car cools down for any number of reasons; supply catches up with demand, interest rates continue to rise, other brands offering deep discounts to clear over abundance of inventory, an engine recall with spotty information from dealers. As always, if you NEED a car now, buy it now, if you can wait, do so, at least you won't be in the group that paid 5 to 10k over MSRP a short time ago, pure silliness.

I've been passing by my dealership in NC for about 3 years now. Typically might have 1 or 2 Tellurides, one time had 8 briefly, sometimes none. Today they have 16. Still showing a $5K markup. Wonder if they're still getting it.

30 Tellys at a local dealerhship here in Florida. This dealership was not crazy for the MSRP markup I paid 8 months ago (approximately $1200 total). Now, I see they are discounting approximately $1,000 off MSRP. I'm sure that a serious buyer will be able to do alot better. The markup days seem to be over for quite a few dealers here, but not all yet. With the current engine debacle, I just can't see the stealerships continuing the ridiculous markups.

I think the Grand Highlander has put a dent in the Telluride’s market.

The Highlander is definitely direct competition. The downfall for the Highlander is the design which is somewhat bland, and the 4 cylinder turbo. The plus is of course proven reliability as with most Toyotas. The Telly has the rugged looks and the warranty doesn't hurt either, but the pricing seems to finally stabilizing and coming off the over MSRP numbers.

I agree that the four cylinder turbo is a weak spot in the Highlander. Especially if you plan to tow. A four cylinder has to work much harder than a six to do an equivalent task. That’s one of the reasons I chose to go with the Telluride.

The other BIG issue with the Grand Highlander is the joke of a third row seat they offer. I'm only 5' 8" and very slim, but had to become a circus contortionist to get into that third row, and once there had to sit my my knees spread wide as the there was no room behind the second row seats.

In the Telluride I can sit in the third row with plenty of room to spare - much more spacious, much more comfortable, and much easier to get into that third row and exit it.

Are you able to tell me where in Florida this is? In Central Florida every dealership is thousands over MSRP. They advertise under, but all have about a $4000 "Dealer Advantage Fee" along with another thousand or two in other dealer fees.

Biggest thing is having doubled production to over 100k, plus increased supply of the Palisade, as well as the addition of the GH as a competitor (currently, there's a stop-sale on the GH and TX).

Speaking of the TX, the interior of the base model is horrendous (really cheap, like embarrassingly cheap).

The fluctuations you’re noticing are fairly common, especially with high-demand vehicles like the Telluride. If you’re considering buying, it might be worth holding off a bit longer if you think prices could drop or if sales become more frequent. Do you have a specific model or features in mind for your Telluride?

I'm in South Florida, and the SX XLine model appears to sell within 30 days of arrival. The dealers aren't negotiating on freight or dealer fees. Has anyone had any luck reducing/removing these fees?

H/K moving plenty of Palisade/Tellurides (over 21k last month).

While having to be more realistic about pricing, there are still buyers for models that are approaching the end of their lifecycle.

Napletons Kia in elmhurst Chicago is advertised at 10% off Msrp on Cars.com

That was the most amazing feature to me. We're a family of 6 footers. Being able to fit three of us in a row didn't seem possible in any vehicle. Before that test drive, I seriously thought the third row was only meant for small children. Also works on the Palisade (probably obviously).
