• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Our daughter has a large dog and does not like how the bucket seating works out. Does anyone know if we get the bench seating from a salvage yard if it will bolt in direct?

This has been asked and done several times over the past 5 years. Direct bolt up.

I’d like to do this too. But where can I find a bench seat of the correct color? And, what do I do with the buckets?

Regardless of the fact that this modification may be mechanically possible, you will be altering the max seating capacity of the vehicle as defined by the required manufacturer's tire loading placard (sticker) on the inside of the driver's door jamb. Your insurance provider may not be a fan of your handiwork. Of course, they may not be aware.... until you're involved in an incident where an injury occurs to a passenger seated in that row. Additionally, if a financial insititution has a lein on the vehicle, (loan or lease) there will be more questions raised about the modifications. Understand the risks beforehand. The liability here will fall on the owner(s) of the vehicle.

Actually the max seating capacity doesnt change as the Tellurides are made for 7 and buckets reduce to 6. There is zero change to the max capacity, GVW or anything else. I know no questions will be raised because you are not altering the safety of the vehicle nor the structure of the vehicle. But to all those folks who claim it cant be done, simply havent spent 5 minutes of research to know it can. In addition to one gentleman who documented the process, many others have said they've done with swap with ease. I think 8 bolts and two harnesses. GL everyone!
