I mentioned TSB-113, linked in this post above, when I brought the car in, but the dealer never confirmed if that was indeed the problem.

I have a 2024 Telluride same thing Clunking in the rear when under light acceleration. Only 30k miles!! Dealer says it a computer glitch.my 2020 SX-P with the Tow package has been making a clunking sound. It started very minimally and seemed to be coming from the left rear. I had the dealer look at it during routine service and they suggested waiting on doing anything further as it was very minor. It seems to be getting slightly louder and more frequent. The sound is almost like something is loose in the suspension, but it doesnt happen consistently. Sometimes it will happen when backing out of my driveway when the rear suspensions articulates at the bottom edge, but sometimes it just happens when I am driving in a parking lot. I also dont tend to hear it at all at higher speeds. I have 67k miles on the vehicle, new brakes and tires, but all of that was checked and nothing seems out of spec there. Anyone having similar issues or have any suggestions? Has anyone had to replace rear suspension by this low of mileage?
Uhhh, seriously? I referenced the TSB in this thread to my dealership and they claim that is what it was, but that TSB is for older models. I have a 2023. Only been 24 hours but I think it's fixed. They claim to have replaced rear shock insulators?I have a 2024 Telluride same thing Clunking in the rear when under light acceleration. Only 30k miles!! Dealer says it a computer glitch.
The TBS work (replace the parts at top of rear shocks/struts) did not fix the clunking noise in the rear. Replacing the shocks did fix the problem and I was shocked at much the ride quality had degraded. Back to the nice ride character to Telluride had new.Given the increasing frequency and the description of the sound, it's likely a suspension-related issue. While the dealer's suggestion to wait might be reasonable for a very minor noise, it seems the situation has escalated.
I just replaced the insulator, and didn't fix the problem.I have been having the same issue and it sounded as if it was coming from the right rear. Going over bumps, etc Took into Kia and was told the shock insulator needs to be replaced and is under warranty This is the bulletin put out by Kia
"This bulletin provides information to replace the rear self-leveling shock insulator and locking nut on some2020-2021MY Telluride (ON) vehicles produced from January 1, 2019 through December 1, 2020 which may exhibit noise from the rear of the vehicle while driving over bumps or on a bumpy road"
Hopefully this is the issue. Waiting on parts to repair
I'm having the same issue with my 2022 Telluride. A clinking noise from the rear end with making slow turns in a parking lot or when accelerating from a stop. Been to the KIA dealership twice, first time they say they could not replicate the noise. Second visit today and all the service guy did was drive it around the lot to try and replicate. While it was hard to hear the sound was definitely there but alas no deep dive diagnostics were done. They then wanted to charge me $150 can plus tax for basically doing no more then driving around the lot. I questioned the charge and eventually it was reduced to 50% but still not happy. I will now follow up with KIA Canada.my 2020 SX-P with the Tow package has been making a clunking sound. It started very minimally and seemed to be coming from the left rear. Wow super late reply, sorry! Problem was repaired by my dealership of choice under warranty. They ordered and replaced the bushings in the shock assembly that was producing the noise. No issues since repair (about a month ago).Did you get the problem resolved.....what was it?
My 2020 kia telluride lx makes a clunking sound too.. dealer could not find the problem. I told them they needed to but they don't hear it but I can feel it and hear it but it's my car and I drive it every day. They told me to just keep driving it until it breaks bc its my only option. We'll that was when I was at 60k miles now I have 91k and still same problem but definitely another worse then it was at 60k. They can't pin point my problem but want to try fixing my drive shaft. I told them it's not that bc it only does it when I'm turn from complet start or if I'm stop and If I gun the gas pedal so I took matters into my own hand and jacked my car up myself and found that my front passenger AWD shaft the inner boot has been flinging grease everywhere and that it's probably the now run dry and it's probably my reason of why the problem has been getting worse. If u still own it or still have the issue it's probably the shafts that come off of the AWD motors.. Just a guess not been fix on my end yet, I just take it easy with my car and drive slow and take it easymy 2020 SX-P with the Tow package has been making a clunking sound. Shout out to Lev Kia in Framingham, MA…. They have pretty much always taken care of us through 5 Kia’s to date. We ended up leaving the Telluride with them while we were away on vacation. I got a call from the Service Manager the day before we got back to tell me both rear end shocks and all mounts and hardware (including everything in the TSB) was replaced under warranty. Additionally they let me know about a recall notice I ended up receiving the day after I picked the car up that not only included all that work, but informed me that the warranty on the rear suspension components has been extended to 160k total vehicle miles once repaired.
I have a 2024 SX Prestige with 18,000 miles and I noticed a rumbling noise from the rear when backing out of our garage and going over the small ridge transition from the garage to the driveway. I also notice it at low speeds going forward over small bumps. The dealer says they will look at it but if they find nothing it will be a $225 charge. I would like to find it myself and take a picture of a strut/shock leak so I have more evidence to take to the dealer.my 2020 SX-P with the Tow package has been making a clunking sound. Good info, thanks for sharing..I experienced a similar noise last year. I finally could activate the noise by opening the rear hatch and forcibly moving the rear suspension up and down. The noise was isolated to the rear shock assembly {left}. One of the mechanics happened to be in the parking lot when I was at the dealers and he verified the noise saving me the 200 to determine where the noise was coming from. The left shock was replaced and no noises have been heard since.
