  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello all,

David and Alice from south Louisiana, we traded in our beautiful Subaru Outback yesterday on a new EX X Pro to get the 5500 lb. towing capacity for sharing towing duties on our small fiberglass travel trailer (Casita Liberty Deluxe). I'm trying to limit the miles on my Tundra since they don't make them with the reliable V8 engine anymore.

We sourced one with the receiver hitch and 7 way RV wiring plug, the pigtail for installing the brake controller came with the vehicle and I will install a Redarc Liberty with the remote knob assy.

We'll probably put some "break-in miles on the vehicle before towing with it.

Hopefully it will be a reliable vehicle since this our first Kia, we've been spending plenty of time watching videos on the electronics systems of the vehicle, the dealer also had a techie person spend time with us setting up some of the systems.

I'll eventually report our towing experiences.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your new Telluride! How are you liking it compared to the Subaru Outback and Toyota Tundra?

It drives much smoother than the Outback, I love the Tundra but the Telluride is obviously much nicer to drive.
The Telluride will be Alice's daily driver.
I already solved an issue I had with remote starting it with the key fob by reading another post on this forum about a trick to use it properly.

I'm glad to know you're happy with the Telluride and it's always great to hear this community has been helpful - and I hope it continues to be helpful for you and everyone else. Thank you for your support!
