You could just buy a Land Cruiser.
Mine acts the same way and will "sync" after its on but will be off again after I leave and start the car. I just assumed this is how its supposed to work.Have a parallel issue with the EX, where the rear zone does not come on when I push 'Sync'. Rather I have to push 'rear' on the console, then go to the screen and adjust which I normally just put on Auto and Lock screen. Then once the car is turned off and back on, I have to do that all over again every time. Dealer said he has heard of the problem and asked me to bring it in, so I have a Friday appointment.
Did you get a resolution on this? We are baffled that you have to turn the rear air on every time you get in. We have two kids and need it on constantly. Very annoying to have to manually turn the air on each time.Have a parallel issue with the EX, where the rear zone does not come on when I push 'Sync'. You can go into settings and set when you want the cool seats to come onWe have the SX Limited (Canadian version of the prestige I understand) and have the same issues. VERY annoying I have to turn the rear air on every time I turn the car on for my kids. It’s also- more than just one click to turn it on, bc it doesn’t even remember my last settings so I have to click back to the desired temp/auto or power level each time too.
In addition to not remembering my rear air settings, the car also turns the driver’s vented seats on every time I restart the car, and always turns the auto start/stop button back on. So basically I have 6 or so clicks I have to make each time I turn the car back on. ARG. Haven’t had a chance to look through the drivers manual to see if there is something to resolve these issues... Would love to know if anyone else is having the same issues or has figured a way to resolve them.
This has got to be a software glitch. It is hot in Texas so I like the rear air on sometimes even if it is just me, it seems to cool the car quicker. The rear air setting is always just how I left it.
I have an SXP. Not sure if this quirk is model specific.
I have the SX when use the Sync on and turn the rear on auto the rear air remains on even after turning off the engine and restart a few hrs later. But leaving the ignition off for over 4hrs+ then start the vehicle the rear air remains off. The Sync will not work if you set the rear air at different temp. or fan speed then the front. In sync the driver, passenger and rear remains same temperature and fan speed remains in sync. therefore setting a different temperatures for either of the 3 will not keep rear air setting on at start up.We have the SX Limited (Canadian version of the prestige I understand) and have the same issues. Thanks for the info- I’m going to look into it!This has got to be a software glitch. It is hot in Texas so I like the rear air on sometimes even if it is just me, it seems to cool the car quicker. The rear air setting is always just how I left it.

Great to know- thanks! You can go into settings and set when you want the cool seats to come on
Not mine. I have an EX and my rear ac always defaults to “off”. I can turn it on and select “sync”; if I shut the car off and restart within about 30 minutes or so it will still be on, but if the car is shut off longer than that the rear ac will invariably be off when I restart. I’ve brought it up with my dealer before and asked about it again last week. He said they were “well aware” of the problem (implying numerous complaints) but said they hadn’t received any information from Kia yet about the situation.
I hope they figure it out.

Same issue On my Telluride. It's **Super** annoying but I'll resist going into detail about it because most of you are already experiencing this. I was coming here today to try and find a solution. My car has been to the dealer twice now to try and resolve this issue. -Nope. All I'm told is "it's functioning as it's supposed to" which leaves me explaining (to the guy at the counter) in great detail how crazy it is and has him completely agreeing with me after sitting in the car and trying to wrap his head around it. If anyone gets a solid fix for this please let me know. I can at least tell you it's been reported twice to my dealer for what that's worth.
