Ordered Dark Moss SX FWD with Grey Interior on August 5 in Greensboro North Carolina . Been 6 weeks now and absolutely no movement on the order . Kia has'nt even accepted the Order for Production . Trying to be patient but loosing it with zero updates from them . Paid a non refundable $1000 to the dealer now stuck with them and cannot even buy a inventory car from another delaer .

If you ordered August 5, you're looking at a mid-late November delivery at best. I would ask for an update in late October. Hopefully Kia can fulfill by then!! Once the order is accepted and built, it's pretty fast. Deposits are not necessarily refundable - but many good dealers will return it in good faith to keep customer happy. Also, they know that they will be able to sell the car, so they should be willing to return. But, they do use it to keep you tied to them and to avoid cross shopping. Just make sure you have agreed on price and all fees if you have a non refundable deposit.

Located in WI: ordered a black EX on July 1, but haven't heard anything of significance since. According to a friend who ordered a non-Kia (GM make, I believe), he was given the vehicle's VIN within a couple weeks, even prior to production. Does anyone have insight into how Telluride's are produced? Does the VIN not get produced until the end? Do they batch produce based on colors? It seems as if regional inventory on Kia's site comes in waves of colors (two weeks ago a lot of white ones, this week there were more blue ones)... any insight or peace of mind would be appreciated

Good to know about the VINs. Curious, how did you become aware of your estimated delivery date? It sounds like the dealership I'm going through only can see what model/color/package of Tellurides are allocated to them, but not the delivery dates of those vehicles.

It will be given to you later in process once it's been allocated to that dealer. I never got delivery date until a few weeks before delivery - and it showed up early. Ordered April 30, took delivery on Aug 12. Delivery date provided was Aug 24 - but didn't get that until early August. I started watching cars.com inventory and kia.com inventory at my dealership about a month before expected delivery. I knew to expect in August based on the delivery dates reported by other members of this forum. So far, I don't believe that we've heard of any July SX-P orders being filled yet (when Kia reopened SXP ordering). They were still working through the April and May orders. Non prestige trims, perhaps they have been fulfilled.

Since you ordered an EX, maybe by early October? Just keep bugging your dealer to find out when it has a date assigned. The allocation to the dealer will depend on their sales of other models... so if it's a small dealership, it could take a while if they aren't moving Sportages and Optimas.

I’ve been waiting 12 weeks for my EX I ordered and the dealer told me yesterday the EX is pretty rare. The most popular are the S and SXP trims. Apparently the plant is cycling through trims (which makes sense) but no clue what trim cycle they are on now. Also the orders from April have been delayed and they are just starting production on May orders. I actually had the dealer place an order for an SX for me also and I can take whichever comes first or wait for the SX. Curious to know which one will be filled first.

Our Moss Green SX Ltd. is now at the dealership - 2 weeks earlier than expected. Just need to get black rims, window tinting and trailer hitch installed.. hopefully pickup this weekend. So any Canadians out there with orders in, they are finally making there way up to Canada. Ordered May 30.

Just a heads up. Walker Kia in Alexandria, LA has a White SXP with dune brown interior on the way at MSRP. He also said he has another SX coming with black interior. Neither were exactly what we wanted, thought I would pass it along.

Ugh!!!! That’s where I ordered mine from. On June 8th. White SX with gray interior. Non-prestige though. I haven’t gotten any info from them whatsoever. They just keep telling me they don’t know anything and will call me when mine comes in.

Bought it through the Costco program and got $700 off MSRP + $1500 rebate and $1000 conquest rebate. Had a problem with getting 2.9 percent financing on 60 month because the Finance manager told me the only way to get 2.9 was to take the extended warranty otherwise it was 3.9 percent financing. Total BS... I called Kia Financing support and found that was not true and had the dealership remove the warranty. They are going to reimburse me with a check that I can then apply to my first payment on my loan. Still waiting on the check.

Most likely yes. The Telluride 21 model will be out by the time you get your vehicle (2020 model). But I'm sure there will be the exact same just like Stingers. When Stingets came out, they didn't make any changes for the first couple two years. Plus, KIA is having a hard time to produce 2020 Telluride, so there won't be enough time for them to change or add any functions or features on 2021 Telluride.
