• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So the other day when my Telluride arrived, I went to view it in the dealer storage compound. It was all dressed up in its shipping attire. I later went back with my camera and the dealer would not take me to it to take pictures. He didn't understand why I needed pictures. I simply wanted it just because I thought it was neat to have a memory of what the vehicle looked like from the factory. I wanted a picture of the odometer as well. My salesman said it had 10km and when I receive the vehicle, it will have 20+km. He said that it is law here in Ontario that no new car can be delivered with lass than 20km on it. What?!?!?!? Has anyone ever heard of a rule like this?

Could be that the every car had to be test driven for quality assurance for minimum of 20 km ?? Not sure of any logical expaination.

I think some dealers are letting people test drive sold tellurides. We test drove a ex and a sx from two different local dealers, they told us we could not buy them as they we sold but let us take them. Don’t remember miles on them we were checking out all the features😋

I just picked mine up tonight and it had 38km on it so you may be right as mine was the only one they had.

I test drove an S at my dealer. Had around 13000 miles. Sales guy said the sales manager had it. I figured it was a demo and could get a deal. I asked him how much. He said $39,000. Said I could get a new one cheaper that they priced this one up so they could keep it around for test drives. Since then I have been educated on the popularity. Pretty good idea to keep one like that.

Here at the two dealers i visited in Wisconsin with SX's (and Limited for palisade) wouldn't let people even sit in vehicles that were sold/had a deposit. Which I agree with. I wouldn't want someone in my car either.

Is that even legal? I would be upset if a dealer let someone test drive my car.

I am in Ontario as well and mine had 14km on it when I picked it up.

I would be pissed if the money’s paid and paperwork done, and they let another customer or customers drive it!!?

I think they just had deposit on them but who knows, every other word is a lie from my local dealers in NW Indiana. Also that’s why we didn’t order from them. We ordered from Muncie Kia 😄.

Unreal!!! Really not liking the lies my dealership dishes out.

Liars and hypocrites, two of the lowest forms of pond scum.
