Damn, still waiting on SX Prestige White w/Black interior from August 6th. Dealer just called and apologized for the delay but still no VIN or ETA. I put $1k down on it back on 8/6/19

That's why I'm not complaining. Ordered around 15 Sept. Only been a month so I'm keeping my mouth shut. I've got no room to talk compared to some of you. I am quite antsy though. Want to drive TSwift (that's what I'm naming the Telluride).

I have been noticing a trend that some individuals have been getting their Tellurides earlier than anticipated. I have also noticed a increase in dealer inventory. I monitor this every day.

I ordered my sx prestige at the end of May and just received word that it will be delivered Saturday. So, my wait was about 5 months...

Have you read the posts throughout this forum? You mentioned the Palisade a while back and that you liked it - did you prefer a Palisade? Do you want to purchase a Telluride? We have at least 5-6+ honest dealerships on this forum that members can vouch for and many people have successfully ordered a vehicle and had it delivered the way they ordered it. I did.

We've explained the order and allocation system over and over and over again. The bottom line is that you CAN place an order with a reputable dealership and then wait it out (3-5 months).

Some (if not many) dealerships will say that they won't take orders - there are reasons for that statement that we have discussed at length. Any dealer wants to sell his allocated inventory first before taking an order - esp if the in-stock unit is commanding a higher price than the order. Bottom line is you can order - but list your state and perhaps a dealer can reach out to you from the forum. What do you want to order / buy? Call Kia of Muncie - see their posts. Barnett Kia - White Bear Lake Minnesota. Several dealerships in Texas - we could mention...

I’m in RHODE ISLAND which dealer for telluride And yes I’m comparing palisade and telluride and I’m not sure which I will buy as of yet! When dealers tell the consumer 4-6 wks is a lot different than your 3-5 months. Also they are given #47 which ment nothing. Is that honesty? Imagine the person who bought cars in the past from his dealer he dealt with for 8 yrs they tried to charge 10 k over! This is terrible business practices. The consumer is being miss guided

I can attest to seeing more on the road over the last month or so. That said, I think i have only seen 3 or 4 SXs total! And I travel quite often....

I'm ready for my ride to get here. Let's go work on the production line on the weekends!

Ordered on Sept. 19th and got a text from my dealer (I’m in Colorado) yesterday saying order is being filled and will get an ETA in 2 or 3 weeks. They are suspecting delivery will be end of December or January. I ordered an SXP white/Napa gray with cargo mats, wheel locks, illuminated door sill plates, three row all season mats, and splash guards. Hopefully this will continue to go smoothly. Getting antsy.

Could someone tell me how many weeks before the delivery of the ordered vehicle a VIN number and window sticker are provided to the dealer .The delivery date given was Nov 9 and the dealer said he doesnt have the VIN yet when I asked yesterday .

I just got a call today that my order has been filled! He said now the dealership waits to receive the invoice (he’s not sure how long that takes) then it will be on truck for delivery and will take 3–7 business days to arrive.

I'm in the same exact situation, I talked with my dealership yesterday and they gave me that exact day of nov. 9th, but did not have a vin either. I'm patient though I ordered a grey SXP with wheel locks and illuminated scuff plates on Aug 29th. From what I've read on here and someone can correct me if wrong but it will take around 2-3 weeks for delivery from the time you get the vin. So there's still time but I doubt mine will be here by then. Good luck.

Yea 10 days from now will be 8 weeks for me, I dont see it being here by that time and some have been waiting since April and still haven't recieved theirs.

Am sorry , that why when I order one in July 28th. The vehicle was to be delivered on Sept 28 then the date was pushed back to October. I couldn't wait...

They actually 'ordered' mine. After the horror stories, I kept digging with my dealer until I had paperwork in-writing that convinced me it had been ordered. In my case, it's a printout from KMA DCS (kdealer.net) that shows my name/info on a sold order with a confirmation number, my model (J4282: Telluride SX V6 FWD AUTO) in Gravity Gray (Ext color: KDG) with Black Interior (Int color: WK), the base option group (Opt Grp: 010) and Carpeted Floor Mats (PIO: CF).
