What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

The dealership I first ordered the black copper that was asking for 6-7k above MSRP reached out to me today saying:

"Hey Olawale, we still have your car on the showroom floor. If we come down a little more on our price would you be able to come in tomorrow to pick it up?"
Sent me the picture again thinking it would catch my eyes and my brain...that trick would never work.
Then I replied asking is it gonna be sold @ MSRP?

Reply was:
"Negative. There is no way I can sell it at MSRP. You cant find one of these at MSRP anywhere. Not even a used one"

Then I ended the conversation. I would have referred them to another dealership that sells @MSRP but that would be petty on my own side.
You did the right thing my friend.

Obviously it's going to depend a lot on your local market, but tons of people are getting Tellurides at or below MSRP. I've got a delivery date of 10/31 with a negotiated price on an SX AWD $1,500 below MSRP before incentives.

How did you get that done and in what city that is?

He ordered a non-prestige SX AWD from a smaller dealership in eastern Ohio on June 27. That area was one of the first to see Telluride inventory - and dealer probably agreed to the $1500 off MSRP at the time. You too could order below MSRP via Kia of Muncie... we've been over that. :) You have a good deal at Huffines though... they're good people. I had an SX-P arrive this week at Huffines Corinth (second one) which I let them sell - said they wouldn't sell above MSRP due to corporate ethics policy - so great folks.

Waiting on my order with Huffines, the only hope I've got left. Didn't continue with kia of Muncie cos I don't wanna keep ordering to avoid other people's chances of making orders. I just wanna stick to one regardless of the bargain so far it is NOT above MSRP. Kevin is been awesome, still has no date yet for my TELLURIDE and patiently waiting though.😋

Beautiful vehicle! Enjoy it! When lease is up, let me know and I'll buy it if you don't! :)
I just switched out the emblems for the K emblem and K emblem red rotor covers

Where did you get the red rotor covers?

right here and you can do all types of designs and colors

This is fresh news from my personal experience on Wednesday 9/18/2019.

While I really wanted to pay all cash, the $1000 rebate/incentive was enough to make me partially finance. You MUST finance at least $10,000 to be eligible for the rebate/incentive; the balance can be a downpayment. I went with 24 months @ 2.9%, and I will literally make 3 payments then pay off the entire remaining principal immediately thereafter. The 3 months of payments is the minimum such that Kia does not claw back the $1000 rebate/incentive from the dealer. The loan is simple interest with NO front-end setup costs.

My Telluride was ordered about 3.5 months ago from Myrtle Beach Kia and was priced exactly at MSRP, minus the $1000 rebate/incentive.

The specifics:

Telluride SX, AWD
Color - Everlasting Silver
Options - Tow Hitch with Harness, Cross Bars, Mudguard Kit (Front & Rear), Cargo Mat, Cargo Cover, and Carpeted Floor Mats.

Those expecting to negotiate a $4-6K discount from MSRP on a Telluride will be waiting a while (IMO). Obviously, that may eventually happen, but right now the vehicle is simply in HIGH demand. Several of the dealerships I visited simply refused to even order a Telluride for me ...... saying simply 'the order counts towards our quota and we will can sell it locally faster for more profit'. IOW, there is really no incentive for the dealership to work with you to take an order when it's working against their bottom line to do so.

Can you provide a link to something that discusses that minimum of three months payment to avoid them taking back the $1000 rebate? My dealer said there would be no problems at all with early payment in full.

Every dealer I go to has quoted me about 675 to 700 monthly on the SX! Is this accurate?

Hope this will give you an insight/clarity View attachment 4439
No offense, but if you can’t pull off a 60 month term or better, your committing financial suicide. These rates are really high and the term is long.

I suggest you go down a few trim levels to something you can afford in a 60 month loan or less.

Sheet does not show any money down. Another red flag.

Please tell me there is a lot of missing information on that sheet and things are not as grim as I assume they are.

Not trying to ruin the fun or be a jerk. Just trying to impart some wisdom/lessons learned from years of car ownership...

I know you have no glimpse of how much I appreciate your contributions, quite insightful.
Everyday I learn and be more knowledgeable about things I do not have much knowledge about. Experience is the best teacher, so they say. So scratch out being a jerk/ruining the fun, as you've mentioned. I did some calculations based on those estimates, realized at the end of longer term, I tend to pay over $10,000. Time will surely tell especially when the car ordered arrives, then i would weigh out all options, offers, incentives available at the time, then a final decision would be made. No rushing regardless how bad I want the car, or how much love I have for the car.
Once again, thank you and I'm always glad being a part/member of this awesome forum.
