• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone had to recalibrate their camera after replacing the windshield

No. Have had 2 replacements with no need for camera recalibration. Watched the entire replacement process both times and both installers (Safelite and independent) said if there is no windshield damage near the camerA, the recalibration is not needed. As I understand it, the recalibration can only be performed by a dealer due to proprietary software via the Kia dealership. Also, there has been talk of the SX models with HUD needing the recalibration if a windshield is replaced regardless of where the damage occurred but I can’t confirm this fact. We have the S model and have NOT had any recalibration performed after windshield replacement and the cruise and lane assist functions are perfect. IMHO, think it’s a way for the dealer to ‘get in your pocket’ for no good reason.

Thanks for the info. Ordered 1 thru safelite and they didnt think I would need it done but Kia website does. My windshield stared and crack ran very easy. Hopefully the next 1 doesnt.
