Order to delivery time

Yep, I'm livin the dream/nightmare here. Placed our order for an EX AWD on Aug. 28 and were told it would be 8 to 10 weeks for delivery. We were also told that we would most likely receive order confirmation from KIA within 2 to 3 weeks. Nope. Unfortunately that's where things turn south. I have called Napleton Kia 4 times to check on the status of our order and have never received a call back or any acknowledgement at all. We had high hopes for this dealership, they are part of the Costco plan and were very proactive when it came to earning our business. The wait is actually understandable. I get it. But the total lack of communication is very unprofessional.

COSTCO program has very high standards. I would contact a rep. from the Costco/Autobuyer program and bring this to their attention. Sounds like a LONG wait and some possible deceptive practices. Choose Muncie! They are also Costco authorized and VERY HONEST and straightforward!

We ordered a Dark Moss SX-P with towing package on 8/17/19. I just received a phone call from my dealer advising that our Telluride order has been allocated with an estimated delivery of 12/23/19. If received around that time, that will be just over 4 months from the date we placed the order. Can't hardly wait!!

The crazy thing is we live in Wisconsin and drove to Illinois because that is where Costco told us to go purchase.

Thank you Jason! I just wish we’d get some info. Ordered one here in WI on 8/8 and the other in Napelton. Nada on either of them. I have started bugging both dealers weekly. I do have hope now as others are getting December dates - I just want to know something!

Just be patient. Bugging the dealer will not make it show up any faster. With our store it's when we know... You know. We provide updates as they are given to us by KIA.

Thanks Schlegel, I took your advice and contacted Costco and now magically my salesperson has called me twice in the last 24 hours. Unfortunately he did not have much information to give me, only that Kia had accepted our order and that the dealership was waiting for the monthly report on allocations. Still, that is progress....

I was going to buy that day until I learned that they were going to add "Market Adjustment" of $8000 to the MSRP. I was a little shocked. At any rate, if I order the same exact model, feature, etc it would not have the "Market Adjustment", so I elected to order one. Then they said they could reduce the "Market Adjustment" to $2000. I still said no, lets order it and paid my $2000 deposit. If they would have removed it completely I would have purchased it that day. Now, after readying some of these posts I am very concerned on when I will actually get it! haha.... The dealer told me 4-6 weeks. I highly doubt if that will happen provided what I am reading. All we can hope for is that production picks up.

So you ordered an SXP, at MSRP, I hope with a refundable deposit. You will not get your vehicle in that short of a time frame. It'll be 8 weeks for me this Saturday since I ordered mine, and still haven't received confirmation that it's been picked up for production. I would advise you to be humble and expect a delivery time close to 5 months from your order date. Just my two cents.

It's definitely going to be more than 4 - 6 weeks. I still don't have any order info and I ordered the beginning of August. Good Luck!

Yes, I got it at MSRP then they gave me a rebate. The deposit is refundable. I can't wait 5 months. As much as I like the vehicle, I just can't wait that long.
