Order to delivery time

So you ordered an SXP, at MSRP, I hope with a refundable deposit. You will not get your vehicle in that short of a time frame. It'll be 8 weeks for me this Saturday since I ordered mine, and still haven't received confirmation that it's been picked up for production. I would advise you to be humble and expect a delivery time close to 5 months from your order date. Just my two cents.

Ours took 11.5 weeks before the dealer advised it had been allocated. No VIN# yet, but an estimated delivery of 23-Dec. If it arrives at that time, it will be just over 4 months from order to delivery.

Hello Everyone, new to the group. I went Saturday, November 2nd, to test drive SX AWD Prestige. I was going to buy that day until I learned that they were going to add "Market Adjustment" of $8000 to the MSRP. I was a little shocked. At any rate, if I order the same exact model, feature, etc it would not have the "Market Adjustment", so I elected to order one. Then they said they could reduce the "Market Adjustment" to $2000. I still said no, lets order it and paid my $2000 deposit. If they would have removed it completely I would have purchased it that day. Now, after readying some of these posts I am very concerned on when I will actually get it! haha.... The dealer told me 4-6 weeks. I highly doubt if that will happen provided what I am reading. All we can hope for is that production picks up.

Hmmm. Very short time frame. 3-4 months is more realistic. My two cents.

Mine only took 8 weeks, but that's not the norm.. first one took 16 weeks.

I agree after reading all the posts. However, I appreciate your optimism. On a positive note, I have my new badges, side steps, cargo mat, all weather mats all in my garage waiting. haha.

Tomorrow will mark 3 months for me since I placed the order and dealer has told me first week of January is when it will arrive.Hopefully yours won't take that long

Are all of the Tellurides that are taking many months to deliver SX Prestige models?

My dealer told me 5+ months for a prestige SX but 8-12 weeks for a regular SX so we went with the non Prestige model SX.

Has anyone ordered a non Prestige SX and got it in 8 weeks or less?

I'd say early on.... Not an issue but as we get further out wait times going up. We have no clue if production ramps up or if it's full tilt already. I'd advise order what you want regardless of wait. You will be much happier in the end.

Not in my case . In week 14 with Dark Moss SX Grey interior and still waiting on its arrival.

Agreed...order what you want and wait, don't compromise to maybe get it sooner. You may end up waiting the same amount of time for your compromise and wish you'd got what you really wanted.

The Telluride is for my wife. She absolutely HATES automatic windshield wipers. I mean REALLY REALLY HATES THEM. When she sets a wiper speed she wants it to stay at that speed. She doesn’t even want to have “rain sensing” as an option.

I wanted the Prestige package because I like the heads up display in my Stinger.

However, the HUD casts a glare on my Stinger so I am afraid it would do the same for the Telluride. That would drive her nuts.

In the end I think the Prestige package would really make my wife mad. She already isn’t happy about going from an Infiniti QX80 to a “Kia”. However, the QX80 is ginormous, gets 13 mpg on a good day, and costs a fortune.

The extra $2,000 we save by not getting the Prestige package and the possibility of it coming sooner is what she ultimately wants in the end.

So was my dealer incorrect in saying that the Prestige would take longer than a regular SX to order?

Only the KIA God's can tell you. SX FWD I've seen in 30-45 days. We wouldn't guarantee that but we've seen it.

it really is a crap shoot. I ordered my SX prestige from Jason and it only took 2 months to come in. The first SX prestige I ordered took 4 months.

21 won't be till Fall more or less. KIA having annual dealer meetings coming up so maybe we will know more down the road.
