Can confirm. Kia Muncie is incredibly straightforward about everything and essentially updated me the very moment something happened, up to and including videos of the truck pulling up to deliver the vehicle and another after it was unloaded.

In terms of wait time, I got extremely lucky.
Ordered: 10/5
Filled: 10/14
VIN: 10/29
Delivered: 11/4

That’s warp speed and not indicative of how long it takes to get an SXP (I got a FWD SX), but it goes to show you that you just never know with the “Kia Gods.” It got delivered so fast that my flight to pick it up isn’t for another two weeks!

I am sure that was a truck that was coming in to them not an order that was placed to be built or those gods must love u!

I need to start praying just remembered my registration is up! I extended my lease so I don t want to pay if I am only gonna have my car a couple more months. Hope I don t get stopped! Lol

Are all of the Tellurides that are taking many months to deliver SX Prestige models?

My dealer told me 5+ months for a prestige SX but 8-12 weeks for a regular SX so we went with the non Prestige model SX.

Has anyone ordered a non Prestige SX and got it in 8 weeks or less?

Yes. I ordered one on September 30th, and it arrived at the dealer today -- so a little less than 6 weeks. They gave me a conservative estimate of 8-12 weeks but also said that the SXs had been taking about 6-8 weeks. It seems the SXPs are taking longer than the SXs (non-prestige).

ETA: Moss with Gray interior SX FWD. Nothing added (except car mats).

To sum my buying experience in a nutshell, it’s been an absolute pain in the arse.

Aug 3 I ordered a SWP/SXP Grey interior no tow package MSRP 47k with $500 deposit from one the biggest Kia dealers in NY. When ordered it was a 6-8 week delivery time.

At 10 weeks there was nothing but BS with updates. So I find a the same SXP I ordered at a dealership in NJ call and they tell me it’s MSRP 48k. I asked to put a deposit down over the phone and I got the run around. Went to the dealership the next morning got there 10 mins after opening with my title and trade in hand. I walk in and the guy tells me straight up it’s 10k markup over msrp. Takes me to the back of the dealership where it’s basically hidden and shows me 12 SXPs in every color. After haggling he gave me a deal with trade in that was just over 6500 over msrp. Walked out and said I will wait for my order at msrp.

Yesterday I call my dealership where I ordered from to flip out and she tells me that that they are getting 4 SXPs Dec 16th and I decided to move my deposit to the incoming Moss SXP because I’m fed up with this wait.

Today at 2:30 I call her to confirm that my deposit was moved and I am getting the dec 16th delivery and she tells me that literally 2 mins before I called a EB/SXP with grey interior and tow just rolled off the truck.

I told her it’s mine. 3 hours later at the dealership and transfer insurance and do everything sales manger walks over and hits me with the bill and it’s marked up 5k over what I ordered 3 months prior. I flip the **** out and then after haggling I got them to come down 3500.

From what the dealership told me after the sale was done is that there is a complete stop on all SXP orders and only allocated SXPs are being delivered now.
