If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... In the voice of Sir David Attenborough … "Here we see the elusive Telluride in it's natural habitat"

First snow? I've had over 19" at my place in CO so far this season... all in October!

Was 90 at my house this weekend … but once winter comes, I can see the snow in the mountains in the distance!

So who’s had their AWD Telly in the snow and how did she drive? Wife won’t let me get mine dirty and salty yet🤣

Well ironically enough, about 30 minutes after I posted that, Lucas called and said our car is in production mode and should arrive in Muncie around Dec. 10th. (y)
When and what did you order, if you don't mind my asking?

Well, if you put it to good use, it will get dirty and salty.

Drove it in only an inch of snow in upstate NY this past weekend. Not really enough to give a real verdict, but it drove the same as it did with no snow.

Taco the Telluride (EX AWD) performed admirably in snow mode today. Did very well in the snow and slush, but the sheet of ice below was no fun!
I am very grateful today for the remote start, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. ABS system kicked in nicely as well for just a little bit. Like anyone who is a rational, seasoned midwestern driver, I still took it slowly and cautiously, but was happy to be able to have the noticeable extra traction and stability. Got about 4 inches of snow today recorded at the local airport, but hard to tell that with the blowing/drifting, plus a layer of ice beneath. Definitely nasty. I very much dislike winter weather, but I think Taco will make driving in snow a little less harrowing.

Also 4+ inches yesterday here... first chance to test the ABS - always like to know what to expect. Was a bit more pronounced than my Escape was. Expected to hear the chatter, did not expect to feel it quite so much... almost felt as if the system was cycling around the wheels one at a time - literally shook the vehicle... did it's job, just more noticeable than expected

Will have to wait for more snow to see if that repeats...

Anyone else experience a physical shuttering when the ABS kicks in?

Mine kicked in, but I felt it was not as noticeable as with my Optima. Maybe mine didn’t have to engage as harshly as yours did? I don’t know. I thought it was pretty low-key for ABS. I’ve had cars that about rattle you out of your seat with it.

Yea, it's comparable to other vehicles I've had with it.

Loved it in the snow today!! I have the S and it was amazing. We had a lot of snow out by me, and the plows have a hard time keeping up. I was pleasantly surprised at how it performed. I turned the Snow mode on, and didn't slide once. I'm usually a pretty big baby in the snow, but with this, I'm excited about my commute.

Not to be disrespectful - but remember, AWD is for GO ... you still need to STOP; even with ABS, it takes more space.

Always be mindful of both the vehicle in front of you AND the vehicle behind you.

I'm fairly aggressive when it comes to driving... in winter the most aggravating part is either the guy who doesn't think he has to modify his driving at all in the snow, or the guy who drives 20 MPH because the road isn't clear and dry - frankly, not sure which is worse. Need to be careful when warranted; but remember how to drive otherwise.

Off my soapbox now... sorry...
