Order to delivery time

Who has the longest outstanding order now? I saw a lot of July orders get filled, anyone still waiting before July? I ordered Aug 22.

Do I count, LOL. Technically my May 20th order was delivered around October 19th. However I still don't have it as a scratch was discovered during inspection and I am still waiting on it to get fixed and don't have the Telluride yet.

So how does one verify that the dealer actually "placed" your order, vs taking their word for it?

So how does one verify that the dealer actually "placed" your order, vs taking their word for it?

The second the order is placed... the dealer is sent a request ID. For my orders looking at this thread.... You all have a request ID. I have a feeling those that have been lied to will be very upset as wait times go up and they come to the realization that they are waiting on a stock unit. That is why I'm getting email from people that "KIA sent me the wrong interior color" or "I ordered a Hitch and KIA did not place it on my Telluride" or my favorite... "my vehicle showed up wrong exterior and interior color" KIA does not screw these up. Maybe once in a blue moon but not like this. The bad guys want you to bite on what's available and or hope you will pass on what you thought you ordered to have it now.

Kia corporate customer care can verify your name is on an order if you have the request ID (sometimes referred to as the internal ID). Takes some effort and has to internally route to the care reps that work with sales, but it’s possible.

Just called Kia Customer Service to see if they had any info on my July 25th order of an SX-P. He was a little shocked I hadn’t received a delivery date given that I ordered a while ago, but did say that they are currently producing around 15-20 Tellurides per day but taking in about 25-30 orders per day. In other words... it’s gonna be a while. He was nice enough to say he’d look into it and see what he could find out and give me a call back. Though he has to get in touch with the dealership which I’m sure they’re going to love hearing about me going around them to get info. LOL.

I received my Order Confirmation Number on the day that I ordered my Telluride from Lucas Boehm at Kia of Muncie.

Guess I got lucky. Received nothing from dealer after order first week of October.. Just an email and phone call saying you are good, end of November. Another phone call saying vehicle expected November 15. Week later November 7 a call telling me its here. Picked up Saturday Nov 9th. Smooth all the way.

Called the dealership I ordered from asking for the "request ID" or "confirmation ID." They said they weren't really sure what that was. I mentioned how people from other dealerships who place "sold orders" get that back almost immediately... he said that "must be something internal to their processes." Despite my pressing, he assured me that my order was placed and that my "name is in the system and tied to the order."

This doesn't sound promising.
