If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

It's only going to get worse. Print That.
Oh and supposedly I should feel less bad about paying a “market adjustment” because he just returned from a Kia conference in Vegas where he was informed that the 2021 models will have a higher MSRP anyway. Then he asked, “so who would you rather give your money to, a dealership or the Kia factory”? I replied, “neither, I’d rather give it to Jason”. 🤣

Found the exact vehicle I ordered and was sold out from under me at a dealership in Colorado Springs, CO (9 hours away from me). Called them and was given the speech about a $5,000 “market adjustment” added to all SX-P’s and $2,000 added to all other models!!! As an economist by profession, I understand that high demand and low supply lead to a higher cost, however, if Jason and the folks in Muncie can take the moral higher ground, why can’t they all? I encouraged the sales manager I spoke to to take a look at this forum and see how people have slammed dealerships with “market adjustments” and then look at how many people have gone with Jason and the good people in Muncie and consider a different business strategy. That was the end of that conversation. I feel sorry for the suckers that have paid the $2-5k “market adjustment”. I’d way rather pay to ship mine from IN. 🙂

Just get it ordered from Kia of Muncie or one of the dealerships here in Texas we've mentioned. You aren't going to find an SX-P with your preferences unsold for a while. FWIW, that dealership Pitre Kia would have gotten a letter indicating that your sold order should have been sold to you. So they ignored that, and are supposed to be punished by Kia Corporate - but their punishment would be fewer allocations - so they are shooting themselves in the foot. Sad day, but re-order from a reputable dealership and wait it out again. It's worth it... unless you need a vehicle right now then there are other options.

LOL. We appreciate the support!! Scare tactics. All vehicles go up slightly each year. KIA hit the sweet spot. Do you think they'd be stupid enough to raise prices? Hell to the No!

You will have an order ID number very accessible from the dealer. If dealer can't pull that up... You have no order.
I wrote to my dealer again about what we discussed here. No reply yet!

Did you hear that? It was the sound of "gulp"

If I was the KIA CEO, damn am I gonna limit the quantity on the Tellmeride going forward! You can't get this amount of buzz w/o spending tens or even hundreds of millions in ad dollars.

@Jason Fox this is what the dealership gave me When I placed my order. Does this look familiar or should I be confident the order was placed? After reading all these stories I’m a little nervous. Thanks so much.

You need the request ID brother. They could potentially load this and not hit submit. I've seen it before.

The dealer sent me the order number lol. Submitted on 8/31. Green moss SXP AWD

Just took delivery of AWD SX on 11/12/19.

Ordered on 7/5/19. But before our order came in, we found one on the lot almost identically configured, and the dealer honored the pricing from our order.

The one we got was delivered to the dealer on 11/8/19, and passed final factory QC checks on November 6th. 6/11/19! (Edit: Other forum pointed out that's probably November 6th, 2019 in international date format. Whoops.)

Looks like it took the vehicle 5 months 2 days to travel from Georgia to Virginia?!?

So order to receipt of 4 months, although not clear if the one we received was the one we ordered since we never received order number.

And No, I don't know if the dealer ever actually ordered one for us....who knows.

So anyone know the answer to the priority question asked earlier in regards to the order number?

If order has been placed you need a request ID number. You don't have that... Order has Not been placed or sent to KIA

They do. It should be dealer code + ID. So If you ordered a Telluride from a dealership in NY on Monday 11/11/19, it would be something like this: NY123 - 191111J001. The ID is DATE + VEH CODE (J= Telly) + PRIORITY (001 in this case).

Hi Jason,
My question is about the above mentioned post. It mentions Priority at the end of the number chain. What is priority? Thanks

It's number of orders placed by the dealer that day. Could be any model. Means nothing to us. Internal tracking. These aren't the droids you are looking for.... You can go about your business, move along.
