  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Yo

You can actually wait until Monday?!?! I’ll be telling the dealer to do the minimal pod checks and give it to me - I don’t even care if they fill the tank with gas. Heck, leave the plastic bags over the seats. I want mine ASAP.
I know its killing me to wait but whats a few more days after four months LOL

I think I could relax a little if I could get an order ID from my dealer. I’m going to try to enjoy the wait but I am an impatient soul. I’ll keep checking in here for support and success stories. It’s been exactly one month but it feels longer. It doesn’t help that I loathe driving our Honda Odyssey. My wife commandeered my sweet little Mazda3 s Grand Touring because it “gets better gas mileage“ and her commute is longer. We’ll see if that same logic holds true when the Telluride arrives. Something tells me MPG will be less of an issue then.

Ordered my Black Copper SX AWD with black interior and tow package on November 14th. Dealer told me 2.5 to 4 months. I'll keep you posted.

I have the exact same configuration arriving either this coming week or the next!

Hey, @Jason Fox another question. It’s pretty evident now that my dealer never submitted my order. But here’s the question: why? What would cause them to not be able to submit it?

Four score and seven years ago, I ordered a Dark Moss AWD Telluride SX with butterscotch interior. Just kidding I ordered it May 20th. I finally picked it up my (wifes, LOL) Telluride yesterday November 20th. For reference it actually arrived around October 20th but had a scratch that took a month for them to get repainted. I put 100 miles on it, and it is everything I was hoping it would be. I got the 2.75% financing with $1k rebate and gave me the conquest rebate of $1k that was available at time of order. They honored the $12k in trade in for the 2012 Acadia Denali with 137k miles on it that we had also initially discussed. Took forever but glad to finally have it. Financing tried there best to up sell me on extra protections and what not for a some crazy prices. The only thing I was maybe interested in is an extended warranty which I am still up in the air about. However they could not touch what Jason Fox is offering at Kia Muncie and didn't believe me at first. Thanks again Jason for arming us with super competitive warranty offers, I will figure out soon if I am going to get the warranty or not.
We have been selling quite a few warranties lately.

Lazy? Too much trouble? Don't know how to? This is something only they can answer. Not sure why you would not help paying customers. 🤔

I joined this thread around page 70. I don't remember anything about Jason's warranty prices.

@Jason Fox, what are Muncie's warranty prices so I can ask when I go to get my Telly (hopefully) in Feb as ETA was told to me. I'm also in CA and wonder if that has anything to do with warranty prices?

Email me jfox@kiaofmuncie.com and I'll send it.

Lo and behold they produced the Request ID! They kept showing me the request form without it, before submitting. They said that’s what they screenshot and then have the customer sign before clicking submit. 🙄. But, they were able to pull the order up and show it to me, and it is as expected.

Correct date for you?

Kia has accepted the order for me. Not sure what that means. No delivery date yet.

yes sir! Was way too difficult to get it, but I think they just weren’t connecting the dots. I’m the first of 32 orders that has called and asked about it evidently.

Wow

In retrospect it is slightly comical.
The GM did say there was a meeting with Kia lately where dealers are asking Kia to directly reach out to outstanding order holders to reassure them. They really should.

I could see that. The people that answer the customer questions really don't have the answers but it's a starting point.

VIN exists, sticker exists, dealer says they have "shipping invoice" with estimated delivery of Nov. 30.....but they said from this point forward "we don't know.....could show up before or after".........each day is a "wait" and on we go!! Went on "Google Earth" but couldn't spot a truck on its way!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Sometimes we get them before the invoice shows up. When that baby is ready to go home... It's ready! 👶Congrats!

Smart car let you track your order from factory in France to ship to dealer. It was cool being able to track the ship.

I did use Google Earth to look at the factory in West Point, GA.......what a huge site AND what a huge number of vehicles siting in the shipping lots....just amazing that they somehow "know and control" all of that!!

I just want to post my experience for anyone that may think Jason and Lucas at Kia of Muncie aren't the real deal.

9/9 I ordered my wife's car (AWD SX).

9/10 Lucas sent me my Request ID.

11/11 Lucas texted that our order had been filled and we had an ETA of 12/10.

11/16 Got VIN. Lucas said we had a new ETA of 12/3

11/20 Lucas texted at 9:10 that our ETA had moved again to 11/26. Lucas texted at 4:30 this same day that our car was just loaded on a truck for delivery to Kia of Muncie.

11/21 Lucas sent a video of our car sitting on the lot in Muncie and overnighted the paperwork to us.

11/22 We returned the paperwork and are waiting for it to be delivered.

I could not ask for a better long distance car buying experience. Lucas was awesome and kept us updated as soon as he had information. There were no surprises. In this environment of people being taken advantage of and being screwed over by other dealerships, it felt like we were buying from family and were getting special treatment.
