The phrase internally is turn and earn...
@jw_tx21 has the right idea.. rewind back to March... the dealers who got the Tellurides in and not only sold the Tellurides but did it under 72 hours are perceived as a better store to send Tellurides to then say a store that got a Telluride in a lower metropolis area and sold the car in 120 hours-a week..
Okay so stay with me.. everyone sells loaded SX and SXP as soon as they drop. Awesome! But what about the LX models and the EX base with bench seats?
Slower stores sit on this inventory longer... making thier “days in inventory” longer and longer. Kia says well they aren’t selling as quickly let’s pass them on next allocation..
Mean while high volume stores know the game.. so they give away the LX models or add 20” black wheels to LX models to help move them( I literally was doing this at my last location) why to move those out of my inventory ASAP..
Each month that’s passing by it become a snowball effect and gets greater and greater.. to the point where the stores that understand the game get the allocation... sold orders or not we get more Tellurides then the slower stores.. CA,FL,NY,TX are the ones who understand the game and are now much more along the way.. so yes inadvertently
@jw_tx21 is spot on
