Telluride VIN Lookup Website

Should I be depressed that my dealer only has 3 show up in the tool and 4 overall this month? None prestige... ugh. They went from averaging 15/month down to 9 last month (which ok, holidays is explainable), and now down to 4. Something doesn't smell right.
My dealership only sold 15 Telluride in total, I mean, that is 15/6 months... only 2 of them are SX-P. I ordered Black Copper SX-P from them and my order got allocated in just 15 days with build ETA of early Feb. It seems that the demand in my region is quite low, thus the dealership just keep a slow but active turn around, maybe I'm just lucky, who knows. I did not see my order in the Black Copper ones yesterday, so I think mine will hopefully in the next Black Copper batch. It's all about allocation and demand.

Actually, it's 11 months - since March. So that's 15/11... less than 1.5 Tellurides per month. Really low rate of allocation. Yes, you must be the next SXP they are getting - you already have an internal number, so that's great. Lucky I'd say... glad that small dealership was willing to work with you.

It checks every 30 minutes. I think it's all caught up. I'm not sure if the vins are added once a day or multiple times, but I added logging to see when and how much it scrapes so I'll know tomorrow.
foresterh it looks like they have not added any vins today only yesterday do they not a build on Sunday?

I'm not sure. I just added logging of the scraping so after a week I'll have a good idea of how many cars they add and what days they add them.

The Lookup shows ~133 VINs were created last Sunday (01/19) but none were created on 01/12, perhaps they are working every other Sunday.

It could also be the cars were added later in the day, when it's Monday in South Korea. It'll still time stamp it Sunday. Not sure if the vins are added by the American plant or the south Korean company.

I am too. Ordered 12/19
Ordered my EX AWD with bench 8/26 still not ETA so I ordered a second one with an ETA of 3/21. It’s frustrating.

At what stage is the VIN generated? I have secured a Telluride that was slotted for the dealership to arrive mid-March. The day after I provided my deposit, I noticed a VIN was generated on this spreadsheet exactly matching my vehicle at my dealership. Is that too hopeful?

Post below is better. I'm referring to transit time.

Probably. Depends on where you are located - due to travel time from GA. The only person who can tell you if the VIN you see is your order is your dealer. For example, my VIN was generated on 8/5. I took delivery in Texas on 8/13. But, TX ain't that far from Georgia.

Mine was created the day after it was painted. Build on day 1, paint on day 2, and VIN on day 3. Delivered under a week later (11 days ahead of the ETA date).

My VIN was created 1/23. Hoping to see it this week. We are in Illinois:)

Hi foresterh, great work on your website.

I just want to let you know that I have found some missing VINs on your Telluride VIN Lookup Website. For example the following VINs are missing from your web site:

5XYP24HC4LG076110
5XYP34HC5LG076064
5XYP5DHC8LG075968
5XYP3DHC9LG075967
5XYP3DHC7LG075966
5XYP5DHC2LG075965
5XYP3DHC3LG075964
5XYP3DHC1LG075963
5XYP5DHC7LG075962
5XYP3DHC8LG075961
5XYP3DHC6LG075960
....

I had the same problem with my Google Sheet VINs. The source of the problem is with the Kia VIN window sticker website. One day there is no VIN window sticker available for a specific serial number, but a couple of days later the VIN window sticker appears. To fix this, is after 1 or 2 weeks I reprocess the data scraping process with the missing serial number and see if there are any new VIN window sticker for the missing serial numbers.

MichelW thank you so much! I'll add some logic to do that.

What’s your lookup site written in? It would be cool to show some summary stats (units by model, color, etc) as well as have a stronger mobile UI.

I was interested in the % of vehicles in different colors and looked at the mobile page that lists most vehicles, pulled it into Excel and found that 5% are Black Copper. Most popular colors are those you would expect.

Anyway it’s a cool and useful tool. Where are you pulling the data from?
