Also turn off the rain sensing wipers tooTook my Telluride to my carwash today. I like to put the AUTO HOLD on when I get in the car but the Car Wash and Auto Hold don't like each other even with the car in neutral.
So remember to turn off the auto hold when you get to the car wash.![]()

LOL....I was wondering when the car wash police would chime in. The Horrors!A PSA inside of a PSA. If you like your car's paint without swirls, do NOT go through a car wash with any car unless its touchless. If you don't care then by all means.

I use the products from Griots Garage to hand wash and maintain our cars. Been using them for 14 years and have had great success with them. Griots GarageOn a related note to car washing, for the members here who do not like to use the automated car wash. What is the best way to mechanically wash your car without using the foaming brush at the self service bays? Spraying with the pressure washer/soap alone will not really remove all the dirt.
I don’t want to be the person that brings buckets or mitts to the bays and do hand washing. I also considered buying a pressure washer for use at home, but I don’t want to let the soapy water run off into and pollute the storm drains.
I figured I can just use the foaming bush at the self service bays, clay bar at home and use an orbital polisher to remove the swirls before waxing/sealing.
What are thoughts? Or what have you all been doing?
