• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Kia Telluride US production stats. by trim and colors

For some reason I can't get the full list of vehicles destined for my dealer to show on the Telluride Lookup site - when I click on next page, page 2, or show 25, nothing happens. So I keep seeing the first 10, but it's those newest 2 I really want to see! Any advice?

I thought the same thing but it’s just all listed on the first page.. if you count them it will be 12... I have like 24 on my store in the lookup and they all show on the first page

First, there can be issues on iPhones or iPads - use "mobile" version if that helps. Also, sort by date downward on dealer page - click arrow above VIN column. The issue is that on the main page, they are sorted by newest first (descending order) but on the dealer page, they are sorted in ascending order (oldest first). We could ask @foresterh to make a code change to the dealer pages. What dealer code?

You are right! Any idea which dealer has sold or received the most Tellurides so far?

Click the "Dealers" tab, then sort "Total Cars" decending order by clicking on the arrows. That's just for January and Feb production... since the site came online. I have the totals since inception, but it's not too different. Kia hasn't really changed allocation strategy.

Kia hasn't really changed allocation strategy.

Which is unfortunate. You can see production numbers begin to rise. KIA really needs to start placing a priority on people waiting for their vehicles. Best advertisement is to have happy customers driving their vehicles around town rather than the eye rolls I get when I tell them I am on a 4-6 month waiting list for a KIA.

Updated.

Dealer page now sorted by car created date, newest first. Also added ability to filter columns.

You can use the site @Steve.eichert made... he has a dealers page - TellyStats.

Woah... just realized you can search by proximity to a zip code! And the same on the cars page TellyStats. And you can save the url! Nice work Steve!

And the url reflects the search... TellyStats

Yes - it's amazing! I didn't realize the URL saves the search! Since we have the "lowest" zip codes here in New England it really helped in searching by zip, lowest to highest. Also helped me to see if any dealers within New England had what I was looking for. When I realized that my combo was not a common one I ordered one. My "check in" with Lev Kia yesterday resulted in finding out my Telly is anticipated to be here early April instead of April 17. Hoping against hope that will happen! I have big plans that will be even better with a Telly!

Oh my gosh! Isn't it ironic that the top Telly seller is on "Studebaker Road"... how well I remember Studebakers!

Very useful spreadsheet and stats. Thanks!

I have a black copper SX with dune brown interior on order. The data showed that Lokey Kia in Clearwater had just received one. I called them up. Unfortunately, their price is $5k more than my order (okay, it had about $2k more in options, but I don't need running boards or a towing package).

I'll keep watching and maybe will spot one to my liking sooner rather than later.

You take a chance by cancelling your order...why not just wait to get the exact car you want? From what I've seen on the forum, people always ending up paying more than if they would have just waited for their order to come in. Or you might end up with nothing like @bh26. Check out his story.

Very sobering story.

No, I am not cancelling my order--definitely not before taking possession of a new motor vehicle. Hard to be patient, but my order is already for MSRP+. The order amount is my walk away.

Haha, thanks! I created all those “features” to aide in my search :). Good luck to all those on the hunt! Anyone on the hunt want to sponsor the sites? :). We are about to crossover the free data plan due to the number of cars @foresterh has scraped with his awesome site/service!

also, the zip code radius search is a little wonky so it may not work at times

Well, it looks like I'm cancelling my order. Less than 6 weeks after deciding to buy a Telluride, I picked one up today.

About the same time I located the Black Copper SXP in the Tampa area, I saw a second one to be delivered to Airport Kia in Naples (2-04-2020). I gave them a call, but the Internet person was a bit clueless. She said she had to look it up. She got back on the phone 5 minutes later to inform me that the vehicle had been sold and could she interest me in anything else? I hung up and marked them off my list, Heck they're 300 miles away, so I was not excited about them anyway. However, 10 days later, Saturday, I get a call back from APK, asking me if I'm still interested. Of course, I say yes, so a sales manager gets on the line and tells me that my order price is too low and just a gimmick to get me in the store. When I told him that the offer was in writing he changed his tune a little but insisted that he couldn't match the price. So, I told him to give me his absolute lowest price, and I would take it if I could. He called back 10 minutes later with a price that was about $800 below my order price. I told him I'd put down a deposit and would be there on Monday. He then asks me if I wanted the black copper with dune brown or Ebony with dune brown--they had two SXP in the package that I wanted! I told him I definitely wanted the black copper. It turns out that the black copper--perhaps, the ebony as well--were orders that got cancelled at the last minute.

So, I drove the 300 miles to Naples on Sunday. I stopped in Tampa to have dinner with my BIL, and my wife and I spent the night in Fort Myers before completing the purchase this morning.

Good folks at Airport Kia. Clearly one of my best car buying experiences, and perhaps the best. Did I pay over MSRP? Certainly, but not much over, and I don't have to wait until April, May, or longer to replace my boring Impala. I love the interior, and the adaptive cruise control is bringing joy back to highway driving. The exterior color, however, is super subtle. It really looks black except in really bright sunshine. I don't care, though. I am so happy to finally get away from an all-white car, and now I'm done with car shopping. Yay!!

Clearly having the TellyStats data was critical. The fact that I expressed interest in the particular vehicle on their lot put me at the top of the queue for the vehicle. The sales manager told me that they sold the ebony SXP the very next day (Sunday) and someone tried to offer them $2k above our agreed price on the Black Copper SXP even though there was a "sold" sign in the car window. I'm extremely happy that Airport Kia had the integrity to stick to our agreement despite the temptation to make a quick extra buck.
