Order to delivery time

Just curious, how do you know that you're 3rd in line to get your order?

I'm not the person you asked, but I know that my dealership openly kept me updated on how many people were currently waiting on deliveries ahead of me. Started at 5th position and last I heard I was up to 3rd person still waiting as well in terms of "length of wait".

This could still mean many things though because my dealership only gets 2Prestige/month and if all of the people waiting were also waiting on Prestige being 5th in line didn't mean it was close.

Order from Stephen Cantrelle since you're in Dallas. He might get one in too - with one of the "first person to dealership" contests. I believe his dealership got 4 or 5 SX-P recently.

I second that. Stephen has been great to work with. I ordered one last month from him and I live in San Antonio. Very professional and very responsive. But if you want an SX-P ordered...you are still going to have to wait.

Ya exactly. Knowing that number is just a nice indicator of potential more than a certainty.

I'm SXP Moss Green with Dune

I ordered 11/25 from Rockford, IL and I was just told today that my order will be delivered in March - but they said they won't have an "exact ETA until next Wednesday" - but at the time I ordered I was told I was 5th in line and that only 2 ahead of me were an SXP - so i figured my odds were pretty good.

Just let me know if you change you mind, my name could become whatever yours is in a flash and it would put me 2 months closer It gets to a point that it's such a challenge to see how long you can actually hold out for this thing...I will not be one of those dropping off of the roles

This is my countdown calendar based on a 4-6 months until delivery...I drop into the 30's and double digits (99) tomorrow. I'm motivated by a chart

Hah! We ordered 7/30. Original sales person was drake. We decided to check out Edwards Kia after being disappointed with the sales experience at H&H. We liked Drake, and he told us the SX’s were coming in within about 8 weeks. When I told him that H&H told us 12 weeks, he called the corporate Kia rep and verified the 8 week timeframe (no way to verify this, its just what he told me verbally). We figured even if it was indeed 12 weeks, we’d rather deal with Edwards. Well, Drake moved a week or so after we ordered, and handed us off to Doug. Doug has stayed in touch with us and done a good job of communicating for the most part, although he did not notify us when the VIN was assigned. He called last week to say 1/30 is the ETA. The VIN was created 1/10 according to the Kia lookup sheet, and we also have the window sticker. If the 1/30 ETA holds, will be 6 months from order to delivery. Any of this sounds familiar to you?

Just closing the loop here now that we've picked up the truck. Ordered black SX-P on 7/30, ETA was originally 2/6, later revised to 1/30. Actual arrival was on the original ETA date, 2/6. Good luck to all those still waiting.

It felt like forever when I was going through it, but reading this forum, I realize how lucky I was. It was exactly 1 month from when my check engine light came on in my last car and I started thinking about getting something new until I had a new car and was refinance.

1/14. CEL comes on in my VW GTI.
1/15. I swing by a Kia dealer and see my first Telluride.
1/22. Find a Telluride matching my specs coming into a dealer 2 hours away at MSRP and place my deposit.
2/4. Carvana picks up my GTI.
2/5. My new Telluride gets delivered (free of charge).
2/14. I refinance through my Credit Union.

Hey rblomqvist Did you ever get your order? If not what are they telling you and who are you working with. I tried to search your combo and don't see yours using the Telluride lookup app. I put in an order($500 refundable deposit) for a fully loaded SX-P w/ tow package at City Kia in Orlando too about a month ago and came across your posts. They've insisted 8-10 weeks for delivery and didn't believe them from the beginning but selling at MSRP including incentives when delivered so decided to go with them. Now I'm having second thoughts. Are they full of ****?
