Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

My wife and I picked up our SXP last evening from Robert at Kia of Dayton in Ohio and I could not be happier with the experience. It was a solid experience from the day we came out until the day we picked it up. Even the finance manager was solid. There was never any pressure to buy this or that and certainly none of the above MSRP shenanigans. Robert was easy to deal with and was accessible via text, email, and phone (which I felt like using at the time). I would recommend Robert and the dealership wholeheartedly.

Sweet, I'm a bit south of Dayton, maybe see you on 75 sometime. I saw a black non SX getting on 75 north today at union center around 4:30 this afternoon. Finally starting to see some here and there. See a lot more of them than Stingers around here.

For ten years I drove from just north of Dayton to just north of Cincy. I know that highway well! Oil changes every 6-7 weeks plus 5 windshields in my car.

yea, it's becoming a better dive now except for Dayton..75 in Dayton has been under construction I think for all 55 years of my life...lol

Maybe because poster got an LX? Most dealers will work deals on LX models just to move them...

You're right - it being an LX was a major factor and they were very open about that. It had been on the lot for about a week and they wanted it gone - they were initially asking more and came down after a couple days.

Hi Forum - long time lurker, first time poster - wanted to share my experience here in Cincinnati Ohio. Not doing this for referral gift cards or anything, this forum has helped me tremendously and I wanted to return the favor.

My wife and I picked up our SXP on Wednesday from Shawn Harvey - Kings KIA. It was a pleasant customer experience, we started looking early January and they happened to have the color/trim we were looking for coming in on 2/17. Got the Vin on Monday and it was in delivered two day later. Well ahead of schedule. Dealer sells at MSRP, no add-on's or weird shenanigans, $250 doc fee (Ohio), manufactuer rates and rebates, met the kbb value on our trade in etc.. I asked shawn to provide me the order sheet for incoming tellurides in case anyone was interested. It's as current as 2/5. See attached. BTW the 'N' means 'New allocation' and any model without a name is unsold (as of COB on 2/5)

I asked on behalf of the forum that aren't local to cincy and they do shipping as well (example $800~ shipping cost for a recent order to a lady in California). I communicated with Shawn via Facebook and Text. He's very Quick to respond. I'm also attaching his business card as well. Nice guy - deserves an opportunity at your business if you're in the market.

Anyone have any good experiences in WA? Every dealer I have talked to here is selling above MSRP except 1 dealer will sell at MSRP for a factory order only.
What dealer in WA is taking orders at MSRP for orders?

Chuck Olson in Shoreline had my order at MSRP. Great crew there, was working with Bobby. However, yesterday I worked with Car Pros in Tacoma and picked up an in-transit SXP at old MSRP that should be here in 2 or 3 weeks. Found it on that awesome VIN lookup tool, and as soon as I saw it on autotrader at $3k over MSRP I called them and told them I wanted it but only at MSRP and if they gave me a solid trade. I told them what I wanted on trade and they agreed to everything over text. Went in and signed yesterday and we are keeping our trade until the new car arrives. Very professional crew down there and it includes a lifetime powertrain warranty.
After I finished at Car Pros my next stop was Chuck Olson to have my $1k deposit refunded which they did no questions asked. I also heard Lee Johnson in Kirkland will place an order at MSRP.
For what it's worth, Car Pros told me the hype/markups are starting to end as demand is slightly cooling. 2021s are coming soon, production is ramping...

I am not sure where to post this but we are traveling and need to get our first service soon in the DelRay Beach, Florida area. Does anyone have any recommendation for a dealer for service in this area? I looked at reviews on line and they don't look great
I’ve been going to Napleton kia in Palm beach gardens for years and never had a problem there. I used to go to Delray kia but wasn’t all that impressed.

I am glad to hear that FA did this deal for you. I have order through Hendrick Kia in Cary, NC. The guys were friendly and $1000 below MSRP (with Financing) but they are playing games on the deal sheet, refusing to give me the value for my trade in. Every other dealer in the 200 miles was giving complete deal with trade-in. I will have to try Fred Anderson this weekend.
You did well with Fred Anderson. I tried to work a deal with them and they told me 2-4k over MSRP. I moved on and ordered from Muncie. They have been great, just hope the wait isn't ridiculous.

I haven't gotten my Black on Black SX yet (~March 6th arrival), but as of how the experience has gone so far I cannot say enough good things about Courtesy Kia of Attleboro, MA.

Walked in one random afternoon in November, asked for a test drive, and was in the drivers seat of an SXP within 2 minutes. My sales rep, Marisa, was knowledgeable about the car & friendly, and did not try to push the sale on me at all. She understood the timelines i was looking at (lease ending in march).

Since placing my order mid-December we've been in contact via text for updates - I always get a quick response. Looking forward to taking delivery in a few weeks!

Ordered a White AWD SX from Ed Voyles Kia in Chamblee GA on 11/16/19 with a refundable $2k deposit at MSRP. Was given an ETA of 1/26/2020, vehicle arrived 1/29/2020 and I took delivery 1/30/2020. No games, no upsells. Communication was not the best (seems like I initiated most via email) but process was painless. Go see Larry Haden at Ed Voyles if you are in the Atlanta metro.

Madison, WI: Metro KIA. Ask for Kyle directly, if you go to the main phone line you won't get MSRP. Got an EX-P at MSRP without any major hassles (they did add a pinstripe even though I told them not to, but they removed it before I got there without any issue or pressure to keep it.) Straightforward. I found it before they knew it was on the way by using the VIN tool from the other thread on here and put $1K down once I had the pricing worked out on paper with the VIN on there. It's the WI028 dealer.
They have a Copper/black SXP they are trying to sell for over MSRP but it's just sitting there...might be an opportunity to get a deal since they don't seem to be able to move it. They also have a white LX that's been there awhile that he seems to want to sell quickly.

I reached out to them last week about that Copper/Dune. Addendum is rough on that one. ouch, I think over 6k in add-ons.

Bergstrom in Oshkosh, WI. Angella was my salesperson, she was really nice and did an excellent job. Mike Ronson is the GSM, and an awesome guy. Scored a Copper/Dune SXP by luck/and chasing via the VIN tool and spreadsheet. Have an order from November (I need to cancel it now) at a store near me but based on what I was seeing and folks from Aug orders not yet getting ETA's, I don't think we were going to see our SXP till May at the earliest (maybe later).

I live outside Chicago, but was well worth the 3 hour each way drive through a snowstorm. Crazy to say that, but true. No BS, straight MSRP. No addendum, etc. If anyone is within a few hour drive of them, and continuing to get the BS run around...give them a call. Their SXP to overall Telluride percentages is high between the 2 Bergstrom Kia stores (Oshkosh and Appleton). I had called the Appleton store last week, and their sales manager was great as well but unfortunately all their SXPs were spoken for. I really lucked into this car.

Purchase was how car buying should be, no games, no trying to rip people off, excellent people to work with, and a nice store (not in some shady part of town or some old run down building). And their cookies were good...

I talked to every dealership within 150-200 miles of my house that had an SXP showing in the VIN site and/or on their website (IL, WI, IA) over the past 2 weeks. I would not pay over MSRP based on principle. I can vouch over dozens of calls that this overall auto dealer group was the best of any I had spoken to. Heck, I even recommended the Appleton store on here last week after talking with them and they didn't have an SXP for me. I'd say the owner/manager of the Bergstrom stores knows what they are doing in the people they hire and how they train them to really be personable and not typical salespeople.

If you don't want BS, this is a good route to go in addition to the good guys on this forum. I give my stamp of approval.

Yeah it's really over the top. SX, P, tons of accessories, random stuff like pinstrips and door edge guards, AND a markup. Good luck guys jeez

Shoutout to Michael Kia in Groton, CT. Picked up my black copper SXP yesterday. No markup other than doc and vin etching fees that they were up front with. Did not even require a deposit when I called to reserve car 3 weeks ago. Sales manager Eli was accessible and had excellent communication during the process.

Hey @StephenCantrelle, Im wondering if you would be generous enough to see what the status of my vehicle is? Im sure its in transit but my dealer said beyond that they cant tell where its at. Current ETA is 2/28 but the VIN was assigned 1/29. VIN is 5XYP5DHC2LG076274.
If you dont have time, then no worries. I know you are a busy guy!

Thanks!

I leased my SXP from them in January. Easiest transaction ever. Very satisfied with dealer and vehicle!

I can’t see it... in fairness Kia has limited what we can see
