Apparently new Tellurides are coming with the remote start on the keyfob. Is this true? Pictures are posted in this petition as proof. Sign the Petition

Could also be pictures of the Kia Seltos which is reportedly coming with remote start via the FOB (not UVO app).
Other forums of this site have mentioned the overseas Tellurides have it from the factory, but US and Canada are UVO. If a recent buyer that takes delivery in the US and can confirm if they have remote start without using UVO that would be promising news for that petition!
I signed it but I’ll just cross my fingers that Kia does something nice since they already have my money. They shouldn’t advertise a feature that is part of the purchase price and then require a monthly subscription to keep the feature.
I picked up an SX Prestige on Monday and it does not have a remote start button on the keyfob. I think remote start is only through the EVO app which I cannot seem to get to work on my phone for some reason.Apparently new Tellurides are coming with the remote start on the keyfob. Is this true? Kia Access kept giving me a connection error. I would enter the code they sent to me and then it would error out and say try again later. Page will not load. I'll try it again tomorrow.Probably downloaded the wrong app - there are two (on iPhones at least). You want Kia Access.

I respectfully disagree. A SiriusXM capable stereo just means that it works for SiriusXM service. You pay for the service. Advertising a car has remote start implies that you can actually remotely start your car without having to pay for a service. The same thing can be said about satellite radio/Sirius XM.
I don’t think that’s the same feature description as remote start. The smart key is the proximity FOB and the push button is what you push when you are in the drivers seat to start. The remote start is being advertised like this: Does the 2020 Kia Telluride come with remote start?. Note that dealer like many others calls UVO telematics “subscription free.” But they should have said “free one year subscription.”I think the wording of “smart key with push button start” is very poorly worded vs. the capabilities of the car. Is the push button start the button inside the car? Is the push button start the button on your phone? Either of those options should be on a separate line to avoid the confusion.

I got the remote start function to work from my laptop, but the Kia Access app on my phone keeps telling me to go to my vehicle and put in the code they sent to me. When I go to my vehicle it says UVO is already activated. I seem to be stuck in a loop. So then I uninstalled Kia Access from my phone and reinstalled it and still cannot get the app to work. I'm going to the dealer to see if someone there knows how to get this app to work.
I figured it out. It's all working now. I was signing in with my cell# instead of my email. I'm a little slow it seems with these technical things. Even though I worked for IBM for 35 years. lol@Pram make sure you have the Kia Access app downloaded and not the other one called UVO.
We’ll have to agree to disagree then.I respectfully disagree. A SiriusXM capable stereo just means that it works for SiriusXM service. You pay for the service. Advertising a car has remote start implies that you can actually remotely start your car without having to pay for a service.
You can sign-in to what credential you set it for (i.e. your phone or email info).I figured it out. It's all working now. I was signing in with my cell# instead of my email. I'm a little slow it seems with these technical things. Even though I worked for IBM for 35 years. lol
I’m not losing sleep over it either. But having a Satellite compatible radio with a complimentary trial 3-month subscription is not the same as advertising when the vehicle was released that you have the UVO link as a subscription free “feature” for remote start capability and then changing the marketing by telling people that they need to pay for the subscription after a year. Sounds to me like remote start is an option not a feature and they should advertise UVO link as an option like SiriusXM. But instead they are advertising UVO link as a feature like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. We’ll have to agree to disagree then.
Note that I would very much like that the UVO service/remote start be free, but I’m not losing sleep because of it being a paid subscription after a complimentary grace period like satellite radio.
