• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can someone try to make this out? I'm about to purchase a Telluride listed as an SX but when I looked at pictures, one thing that stands out is this sunroof. Now it maybe just glare but am I seeing a retracted roof instead a glass? I thought their always have power glass sunroof? I mean I know "moonroof existed a long time ago but usually not used anymore. I'm just weary that this is an after thought installation. I have yet to wait for a reply from a rep. Thanks in advance!

That is a normal SX sunroof in the open position. The glass slides back on the outside of the vehicle. You can tell it is an SX Prestige by the seat’s stitch pattern.

But the part that's retracted doesn't seem like glass. I can't find any info about it on the official page and window sticker page. I have not seen this in person and I'm trying to buy it to have it delivered. Still no words from the dealership rep. Maybe it's a sign

Definitely glass. All of the Telluride sunroofs are glass. If it makes you feel any better, you can see the ribbing on the roof that’s in between the two sections of glass through the open glass panel in this picture. I also don’t know how or why anyone would replace the glass panel with metal or anything else.

Just my mind playing tricks I guess. I'm just being paranoid that somehow this is a lower trim that they try to pass as an SX. Thanks!

Never heard of a car with a non-glass sun roof or moon roof. Moon roof just usually means non-tinted glass. Pretty sure all glass tops on telluride are sun roof though and tinted.

That is an SXP with the nappa seats. It's not a great picture, as the glare makes it look like an all glass roof. But, perhaps there is glare from second glass panel in roof also. They should be able to provide standard photos, and also the VIN which will link to a window sticker online and you can confirm what you are buying.

Certainly not in many years! A friend of mine had an early 90s Mazda Mx-6 that had a body color moonroof. The interior was cloth. It was kind of hideous...
