Order to delivery time

What if they got it and sold it for someone else for a better price! I would call kia plant and make sure that’s what really happened. I called them last week and they’re really helpful. Unless he provided you with more info!

They canceled his order, he’s not getting a 2020 anymore! Im not really sure but he said they called him this morning and said kia canceled his order. That’s why he’s asking him if they’re trying to push a 2021

They said KIA canceled the 2020 fully loaded Telluride , SXP w/T. The rationale was that KIA corporate said to dealer - "We will fufill your orders ONLY IF you take 150 more Kia vehicles to inventory." - The GM said he had no room for the 150 and KIA would only deliver 9 cars to them. 3 ordered via KFOS (none mine) and 6 Random Tellurides. They took the 9 deal.

That doesn’t make sense! Did you pay a deposit? If you did, your ticket should have an order number call kia plant just to make sure. I called them last week since my dealer can’t provide me with any update and they said they’ll get back to me in 4 days.

Has anyone had issues with delayed deliveries? My VIN was created on 3/7 and it has been "on the truck for delivery" for weeks. I assumed that it could be held up somewhere until the plant reopened on 5/4 but I am surprised it still has not been delivered.

Something sounds off imo… if order was filled and put into KFOS and a ETA was given than should still be going through.. If order was pending in kdealer and not commited than Kia has already informed that 2020's SX Prestige would be deleted (translation if order isn't committed yet than it will be a 2021 and would to resubmit and hopefully dealer is putting orders in the same order they have been waiting)

I have seen Kia reward dealers with additional Tellurides for taking on inventory which is what they probably did. We got 18 Tellurides assigned to us last month by accepting 4 K900's.

So something just doesnt quite make sense in dialog.

Other dealers can chime in but my store has not had any orders that are committed with an ETA taken away.

I just got a call from my dealer. My order for SXP AWD T with down payment made end of February has been cancelled by KIA!
I was also told that I would have to reorder when the 2021 models are available to order does that make sense? Why would I have to go back into the queue?
That tells me this dealer is not going to honor pricing, place in line and will go right back into another long wait period.
Any one else getting a similar story?

Looks like KIA is cleaning up their order books on 2020's not in KFOS yet to get ready for the next round of orders. However - it sounds like some dealerships are handling this poorly. Thankful my dealership and @StephenCantrelle explained the difference between Kdealer and KFOS months ago. I suspect there are lots of folks with an order submitted in Kdealer but not KFOS that will need to be "Cancelled" to re-enter as a 2021. KIA and the dealer network could take a page out of Stephen's playbook and make sure their customers understand what is happening.

You would think KIA would be pushing information out on the 2021's as well since 2020 orders are being cancelled. in kdealer.

It is a long explanation but I have a post going over it in detail if you use the search button and type in KFOS.

If you have an ETA of May 1st that was given you should be good. I would just check in with your sales consultant to get updated ETA.. Check to see if a VIn has been assigned and that will ensure car was built..

I did not have ETA and do not mind waiting but I was told that I have to go back to dealer to reorder when that date is allowed. I am patient but not happy and do not think that is fair to go back into a que when they have my down payment for these months.

You should maintain your place in line - just now waiting on a 2021 and not a 2020. My dealership has a list they maintain outside of the KIA systems to track who is what place in line on the Tellurides. @StephenCantrelle rocks.
