Order to delivery time

If you don't have an ETA your order will be a 2021.. If you are 12th on the list of being put into KFOS than you definitely are getting a 2021
 
I just got a VM from my local dealer that stated that I was going to get a 2021, there was going to be an increase in cost but that we would work that out and that I was looking at late July for delivery. That's just a few weeks later than my original delivery date when I placed the order in Feb. Based on what I have read here, there is NO WAY I can get a 2021 at the end of July. Luckily I already own a Moss SXP, and I communicated that to my dealer, not even sure why they called. Their communication has been lousy and it seems that it is still that way.

So this is the third person today to state they are getting this call. And a couple of folks have mentioned a coming price increase. Sure wish KIA would get ahead of this slow trickle of information. Things are obviously happening behind the scenes. The waiting is killing me.

We have been told today by KIA that a few Sold orders could end up being 2021 models. That is all the information we have. We have no further information to give. We will keep everyone updated as more information is available. Stay tuned.

So it sounds like this is mainly happening with SX models, or is this happening with other trim levels as well?

If I were a betting man - I would say it is SX Prestige trims that are being moved. As that seems to be the one with the longest wait times.

My dealer also confirmed today that some accepted orders were moving to 2021s.

I ordered the day after Valentine's and hadn't even asked if my order had been accepted until today. I found out it has! I was given an ETA in mid August.

Our TX dealer called us yesterday to tell us that the SXP AWD Moss/black we ordered 12/21 will be a 2021 model instead 2020 with a eta of end of July or early August. They had no details on cost difference or new options for 2021. They did say that the price increase would be 'modest'. We had a choice of cancelling our order or receiving the 2021....we are getting the 2021. {smile}

Just got an email from my dealer stating that my original ETA date of June 8th has been pushed back to June 28th for my black/black EX-P trim, she claims that that date won't be pushed back any further, hopefully she's right, I guess we shall see. She also told me not to expect my VIN until June 12th at the earliest. I guess I REALLY want this car, lol, but damn, it's certainly trying my patience!
 
LOL she's speaking out of her ass with the "date won't be pushed back any further" ... It's 100% out of the dealers control. My vehicle has been sitting for almost 2 weeks now waiting for transport

My thoughts exactly, she told me that's what her manager told her, but I know better. My ONLY hope is that since its an EX trim, it won't be pushed much further back, if at all, since they seem to be produced a little more frequently. We shall see. I'll say this though, this whole process and KIA's lack of communication is starting to sour this car for me kind of. My excitement is really starting to swing in the the frustration side of things. I'm sure that'll change once I get my VIN, lol, but damn, I've had 6 cars in my lifetime so far, and I've never dealt with something like this, and I'll be sure to not go through this again in the future.
