Order to delivery time

Dealer inventory only shows cars in transit or on the lot. It is not updated as the transportation companies have zero relation to Kia. We put a deposit on a SX slated to come tomour local dealer March 22. It was suppose to be at the dealer April 20. It arrived yeaterday. Just shows how their transit times are not tracked at all.

Can you check the Dealer Inventory on the Kia website and see if your car shows up? I believe this would show cars in transit including pre-orders but trying to verify. Thanks in advance.

It doesn't, but I don't think it would know where it is at in transit.

Understood, all I was trying to check on is if the car you ordered would show up once it is in transit. I didn't think you would be able to see where it is at, just that it is on its way. I just don't trust my dealer to update me, so I figured if I refresh the inventory everyday and I see a Black SX Prestige at my dealer it might be mine .

Ive heard mixed answers on that. Some say kias website updates whats available as soon as in transit. You can track anything these days why they arent more transparent with the shipping process is beyond me.

Was that the Copper Black? If so, do you find it to be golden or red at all?

Ordered March 12. Black SX Prestige w/tow. Dealer said order was accepted but nothing in terms of dates, originally quoted mid April but have heard nothing since week 2.

Wow that's 1.5 months exactly from order to delivery. So its not 3-4 months we have been hearing afterall..

We have seen a few 6-8 week time frames quoted in this thread. One of the early orders in Feb is being delivered next week, which is more like 10 weeks. That is one of the only orders I have seen actually fulfilled and if it was 10 weeks for an early order I would say ordering now might actually be more like a 3 month wait. I will update when I hear from the dealer.

This is my fear. My dealer is garbage and they do not return calls or texts. I feel like they are stringing me along because the date moved and they dont want to tell me. No VIN, no info, nothing. Ordered March 11th.

This is my fear too! I also ordered on March 11th and all I've been told is that the order shows "filled". I was originally told 3-6 weeks. That's obviously not gonna be the case!

I’m thinking about getting a different vehicle if Kia get respond to me with an estimated timeline. My dealer hasn’t been able to get any answers, and I put my order in a month ago.
I’m sure I’m not the only one either not buying a Telluride, or considering bailing, because they can’t fill orders.

And do what? If you need a vehicle now, I would not get on the treadmill. If you need the vehicle this minute, then go to the dealer and look for something on the lot. If you don't need it right now, then take and number and wait.

I’m working with two dealers to get one ordered. No one has mentioned they cannot take an order.
