• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does it bother anyone else that there is no direction indicator built in? Yes, if I have Google maps up, I can see direction. But, where I need it the most, there is no service!

as in no cell service? there is an option for google maps to use offline maps. you would still need satellite (as would any gps) which unless your in some deep tunnels usually doesn't drop out

Easy to drop satellite on winding mountain roads

true which mean no matter what gps you would use even kias on the upper trims would drop out also. it cant direct you if it cant see you. just something to keep in mind as it wouldnt be isolated to android auto. even my old garmins would drop signal now and again.

or are you looking for a compass?
there is an upgrade-able mirror that has this feature
S9F62-AU000 is the oem number

Yes...I want the basic compass. I see there is an upgradable mirror. Need this. Why didn't they make that standard?

The weird part is that you can apparently get it as an upgrade for everything but the sx and sxp. Which you are stuck with a non compass mirror. Auto dimming and homelink yes, but you can not upgrade to get a compass.

Strange..

There is a compass available to you between the MPH and RPM - you just go in to your mode control and you can select it. Quite a nice looking compass too.

You can also have your compass/coordinates/elevation info in the slide-over portion of the larger infotainment screen on the EX and SX.

Of course, as I continue through the recent posts, I'm now seeing that someone already noted this in the other basically identical duplicate thread on this same topic further down the list (insert facepalm).

yea, the OP made two posts for the same thing.

Can't find it

Just keep pressing the mode button on your steering wheel (to the left of the cruise button) to cycle through the different menus. There are only four categories, so you only have to press it three times at most.

It looks like this:81B20885-0455-44D7-A562-8804A311FA67.webp

If you want more detail (exact degrees, coordinates, and elevation), check out the one in the infotainment display that I posted earlier.

Just go old school and glue one of these atop the dash.
