• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... How hard is it to convert production from other Telluride models to SX ? Seems like all the dealers have plenty of other models but no SX models.

You would think they would convert their production as fast as possible to SX which is more margin / $ for Kia.

Sad that we have to wait 3-4 months to get the highest trim level available. Kia might lose potential new high end SX customers to the brand because of awful planning / launch.

Oh we get to believe everything a dealer tells us? Do we only believe the bad stuff? The good stuff? Kia dealers are some of the worst in the country in my opinion. They simply have no clue what is really going on and are too afraid to rock the boat to ask. Take anything they say with a ton of industrial of salt.

Agreed, wonder how their service department is.....Scary thought

First of all, I agree completely that dealers have absolutely no idea what Kia NA is doing. And they really don't even know how to run their dealerships.
Last year my wife and I bought 2x 2018 Kia Stinger GT2's. When we were at the dealership buying them, we knew as much if not more about the cars than the salesman or managers.
Further, the service has been absolutely horrible... When my car went in for it's first oil change, they put the wrong oil in (twice) and the whole system needed to be flushed. I did get three years of oil changes and cabin filters out of Kia NA for each car because of this!
And lastly, my wife and I have tried on three occasions to get our dealership to get us an SX with Prestige package (don't really care about color as long as it has black interior). And they keep telling us they aren't available.
A quick internet search found several within driving distance. So we will most likely be going over to Oklahoma which seems to have plenty of SX Telurides...

Their design and build quality far exceeds the local Corporate ( Kia USA / Kia Canada etc) AND DEALERS ! I have been ruined by owning BMWS for 12 years . ( was way to familiar with the service dept , hence my departure from the brand ) The service and dealer experience was so nice ....................so far my Kia dealer interactions have been minimal due to a well built vehicle ! They will improve , when you have cars like the Stinger and Telluride capable of pulling Lux buyers there is pressure to raise their game

Im betting that with demand far outpacing supply , dealers ordering spec vehicles and customers ordering custom vehicles the production facility is in a giant cluster F-ck !

Happy to hear your experience with the Stinger has been positive. I know two others with that car and they also have really enjoyed it. One of them bought a telluride and the other is in the market. 😁

I think the dealership experience greatly depends on where it is located. When I was shopping for my SX, I noticed that several Kia dealerships were really poorly rated and a couple were really highly rated. Luckily the one by my house is the highest rated.

Stuff like this is why I don't get cars serviced at dealers. The only reason my car will ever return to one would be for a recall.

Out with the old, in with the new... Wife is trading in her Stinger tonight for the Telluride SX.
I'm gonna keep my Stinger for now!
That looks like kia fairfield.. sorry to see the Stinger go...I couldn't do that...lol
