Order to delivery time

I've got to drive to Aggie Land later in July, come on up and I'll show you a Sangria EX <G>... Loving it.
Aggie Class of '90 here. Won't be there in July, but I go to all the home games, so maybe then if you go.
 
Moss SXP ordered 12/14/19 and dealer called yesterday and said 2021 model ETA 8/1/20. Smaller dealer but super nice and no price gouging so I'm content.

Oh - and I am seeing a ton of SXP models headed to your dealership!!! Do I count 16 SXP's!!! Crazy money right there. Congrats. You deserve the sales numbers represented here.

Moss SX-P w/ Dune interior ordered Jan. 2020 from a dealer here in the DFW area. Was told original delivery date May 25th. Date moved to June 15th. That's when I found this website. So I asked my dealer for confirmation (screen shot or documentation of some type) that they actually entered our order with Kia. They replied with an order# of 0007746795 but no physical proof. Now they say ours has been moved to a 2021 model with a delivery of 8/25. I again asked for actual proof, this time specifically of entry into the KFOS system, and any pricing increase.

Haven't heard back from them yet and its been a couple days.

My question is: From everyone's experience, does anyone on here know if the order # number they sent is actually an order number or some internal accounting number? Considering getting my deposit back and trying to find one already allocated to a dealer who actually may want my business..

Thanks in advance for any input!

Moritz FW is a good store from my understanding. I will check here when I get in the office if I can see anything on my end. But like I said timetable does make sense with the delays and crossover.

Mario is a good guy and the GM there if you ask for him he should be able to provide you your new internal number and confirm new ETA.

I second what @StephenCantrelle. said Moritz Kia FW is good. I got confirmation about 2 days ago that my EX-P is coming Aug 22. They may actually not know the of any assigned VIN. I only got an internal number. I Asked if I could make changes to my order and was told that would reset everything which mean a very long wait of at least 3 months.
 
I ordered Dune/Moss SXP from Moritz FW in April. 2019 and picked up early Oct 2019. Have 10,000 miles on it now. Mario and staff were great at keeping me informed all along the way. Fair price, and good communications. So far service (oil change and nail in tire) have been exceptional too.
I highly endorse them. Plus, driving sweetest SUV in town was worth the wait for me. If we could only solve the upcoming UVO subscription matter.....

I just received an e-mail back from our sales rep with the following attachment. I am guessing this is the kdealer system and not KFOS? Again, maybe some of you more experience members can decipher it? I know that's not really the VIN, since it hasn't started production, but it appears to be similar to the other order number we were given, but its not the same? Maybe they had to issue a new order number when the 2020 converted to a 2021? My wife was listed under the Name/comment section.

They did confirm a $400 price increase and the addition of the remote start built into the key fob and different captains chairs armrests. Also, they say the ETA is now 08/17? Interior is noted as Black (wk) on this form? I am hoping the dune brown option we ordered is coded somewhere else. I tried to look options codes up and only found the tow package and tow hitch codes.

Again, I just want to make sure "our" Telluride is on order with Kia and we are coming to the eventual conclusion of this process.

Good to hear of all the other positive experiences with our dealer and hoping for the same. I know the world is a little crazy right now...

I had the same question and was told code 27 is dune brown with towing. So you should be good.
 
I just had a good conversation Mario at Moritz FW and he did confirm that the code 027 is the dune brown interior and the updated delivery as of today is now 08/15. Moving in the right direction!

In anticipation of 2021 ordering opening up soon, please help those of us who are going to be calling dealerships asking to put orders through KiaDealer and KFOS.

What exactly should we be asking for as confirmation that the order went through?
Only Sales Managers can put these orders through correct?
Is this where we should, confirm in writing, that the final cost will be MSRP and/or with an MA?

Feel free to let me know if I missed anything else.

“Request ID sheet” Is the name of the sheet to see that order has been entered into Kdealer.. which is like a queue(like getting a ticket at the deli) to when your order will be entered into KFOS(when you are at top of the list)...

Ask how many people are in front of you for the trim you are looking at. Not the package but Trim in either AWD or FWD.. so example looking at a SX Prestige need to ask how many SX AWD are in front of me.

Ask how many of that particular Trim they are averaging a month.

With basic math that should give you an idea roughly wait time. How many months till your order goes into KFOS and then add roughly 60 days to build and ship(also keep in mind location may effect ship time)

keep in mind all this is based on no other fluke delays for whatever.

Looks like you are receiving the dealer 2021 allocation order. So for a ETA of 8/15 you have been blessed.
 
UPDATE: I went to the dealer. And a manager shower me an ETA of Aug 10. He showed the computer screen showing the entry into the ordering system with my name attached, etc. Original post: I asked my salesman at.xxxx( removed because the dealership provided valid info) if we had a new ETA on our SX P/T, and how many SX were in front of us. He simply responded that I was scheduled to receive a 21 and there was no ETA. He did not respond with the place in line. I tried to call his number and of course he didn't answer nor was his voicemail set up. So, my question is has everyone who was placed in KFOS prior to the delays received their updated ETAS after being moved to a 21?
