Moss SX-P w/ Dune interior ordered Jan. 2020 from a dealer here in the DFW area. Was told original delivery date May 25th. Date moved to June 15th. That's when I found this website. So I asked my dealer for confirmation (screen shot or documentation of some type) that they actually entered our order with Kia. They replied with an order# of 0007746795 but no physical proof. Now they say ours has been moved to a 2021 model with a delivery of 8/25. I again asked for actual proof, this time specifically of entry into the KFOS system, and any pricing increase.
Haven't heard back from them yet and its been a couple days.
My question is: From everyone's experience, does anyone on here know if the order # number they sent is actually an order number or some internal accounting number? Considering getting my deposit back and trying to find one already allocated to a dealer who actually may want my business..

B.) from the timetable they gave you it is in line of a 2020 order that moved to a 2021.
C.) the least wave of those orders just got new ETA’s with Internal numbers
So don’t give up quite yet I can try to piece this together to confirm your order with your dealer..
I’m in DFW btw but if your Telluride is almost here may not be worth it to reset the clock on waiting.

Mario is a good guy and the GM there if you ask for him he should be able to provide you your new internal number and confirm new ETA.

I second what @StephenCantrelle. said Moritz Kia FW is good. I got confirmation about 2 days ago that my EX-P is coming Aug 22. They may actually not know the of any assigned VIN. I only got an internal number. I Asked if I could make changes to my order and was told that would reset everything which mean a very long wait of at least 3 months.Moritz FW is a good store from my understanding. “Request ID sheet” Is the name of the sheet to see that order has been entered into Kdealer.. which is like a queue(like getting a ticket at the deli) to when your order will be entered into KFOS(when you are at top of the list)...@StephenCantrelle
In anticipation of 2021 ordering opening up soon, please help those of us who are going to be calling dealerships asking to put orders through KiaDealer and KFOS.
What exactly should we be asking for as confirmation that the order went through?
Only Sales Managers can put these orders through correct?
Is this where we should, confirm in writing, that the final cost will be MSRP and/or with an MA?

I just had a good conversation Mario at Moritz FW and he did confirm that the code 027 is the dune brown interior and the updated delivery as of today is now 08/15. Moving in the right direction!
