So if I went through Costco could I get below MSRP? I would drive anywhere. They are all Marked UP 10K for SX up and down the east coast. I look at KIA.com, CARS.Com and other sites and the price listed is normal and when you contact them, they want 10K over. I over analyze everything and I started this search not sure on any of the cars I looked at. Came to love the Telluride, but now I am pissed because of this nonsense. I test drove the Mazda CX-9, Telluride, Atlas, Tiguan, Highlander, Sorento and they all had the same feel except for the underpowered tiguan. I am coming from a 2011 CX-9 that I do not want to put anymore money into.

I feel like giving up on the Telluride and get the Atlas and save money with all the incentives they have. The only problem with that is it does not jive with my longer term plan of keeping it 10+ years so my son can drive it. Thoughts anyone?

If you can wait 6 to 12 months for the Telluride, do it to get at MSRP.

If you can’t then go for the Atlas or another car.

Get the Telluride. You'll love it. It's better than any other of those vehicles. Don't pay over sticker.

There is just very limited inventory. If you check out the forum, you will find tools to help you find the vehicle you are looking for. Namely the VIN lookup site and TellyStats can connect you with dealers who have an incoming vehicle. Watch the dealer inventory section too and buy when you see what you want.

Its a typical moonroof. Nothing fancy. Some may not like the split design for forward and rear passengers, but I have no issue with it. It allows for the rear climate controls to be accessed from the ceiling. Its nice that the cover actually blocks out sun light completely from the cabin versus other models (ie Audi panoramic roofs) are only a screen that don’t completely block the light.

Some may also not like the fact that the shade for the front moonroof is manual close only. Again, I don’t have any issues with this.

I have the Dark Moss SX with Prestige package in the Dune Moss interior. Got it January 2nd, 2020 after a little over 5 months waiting and feel lucky after reading this forum. Moonroof up front with manual shade is fine for me. I like the disconnect between sunroof up front due to the break in them for the rear air controls in ceiling because my kids like how the second panoramic stationary window extends over the 3rd row for them to get some sunlight when shade is open on it. My wife likes the shade which completely blocks the sunlight out when closed because she worries about our kids getting too much sunlight and skin cancer so works great for us. I love the dark black headliner that comes with the Dune Brown interior as it makes the vehicle feel very luxurious and with wood and metal trims up front it looks fantastic to me as it is the best vehicle i have ever owned so far.

Just got an email from my local dealer that the 2021 Tellurides were coming in August. Jersey SXP, they have the Dark Moss, Dune Prestige AWD coming. I emailed them back to see if they are still going to mark those up.

All the dealers in the SF Bay Area and LA Area are charging anywhere between $2k - $6k mark up above the MSRP. I called a dealer in Houston, TX and they are not doing that. CA is the only state that it is charging extra for this car. I guess is the law of supply and demand.

The Elk Grove (California) Kia dealer is insisting on a $10,000 pack. The sales kid said 8 out of 10 won’t pay it, but 2 will... and they’re selling all they have. Complete BS.

I'm in Sacramento as well. Richmond Kia doens't markup apparently (at least on orders). Team Kia in El Cajon is probably the best I've found in CA; there's a $3,900 pack added.

Late reply here but do you have any pics of your Moss with Dune leather? ideally from outside with a door open? I'd love that combo but hard to find (currently waiting on a Moss w/ Black nappa). I haven't found any "real world" photos / videos of your combo.
