South Dakota but our local Kia is one that deserves to make the bad list so I started calling out to everyone around us. Whites has been great so hopefully that continues when we are at the table. Where are you from.

I'm here in Gillette, Wy. We also looked around. Rapid City, SD, Billings, MT and Like them in Casper. I hope this thing just gets here! Hope we see ya in Casper. Richard

I am talking with 2 dealers in my area (MD) who sell at msrp. Both of them tell me that there are 5 orders ahead of me for an SX AWD to be placed when ordering opens up again. I would think that is fairly good (providing they are being honest with me) based on reading these posts. Would you agree ?

I am extremely set on the Espresso Brown interior, in Dk Moss, White, Black Copper or Black. (my order of preference)

I am seeing a disturbing stat on failcat. I check every day to see which dealers are receiving an Espresso Brown Interior. EVERY one i see with the Espresso Brown Interior is built with the Nightfall pkg which I have no interest in due to those horrible rims. Do you think this is pure coincidence is there something to that ?

We are from Rapid and they just can't get their story straight. We obviously wanted to have a relationship with them being local but we gave up hope. Billings likes to tack on a $15k premium when we talked to them. Had we not went with White's we were going to go with i25 outside Denver. So far White's hasn't played any games and been upfront the whole time which is refreshing. Hoping no delays and that it gets in before the 25th. I'm assuming you are the black on black SX prestige with tow that is inbound?

5 in front of you is not bad.. message me which two dealers though.. as it appears some MD dealers are not getting any at all(very few).. I would go with the higher of the two options. Very observant on noticing only certain Tellurides are being produced... right now looks like a lot of focus on the Nightfalls and lower trims.

What the ____ are they doing. No wonder Dealers have no idea when they can deliver a vehicle to a Customer. They have now increased production but are building everything but the vehicles we ordered. No way would I be a Kia Dealer and put up with this nonsense.

If performance to date means anything then you might be really lucky and get one by Christmas. There are folks that ordered last November and are still waiting.

Yeah - it is looking like Nightfall production is kicking all of us that have been waiting to the curb. Really pisses me off. I started looking at the Atlas SEL R - and would have jumped to one of those - but VW doesn't have any available either. KIA is acting more and more entitled to the SXP sold orders they have. It is like - "they have waited 6 months - they will just keep waiting - while we build new models that aren't even available on their website yet.

Finally, if they are in fact planning a big marketing push (think TV ads, FB, etc) then they would want as much inventory out there as possible.

Late night ruminations...

For a long time, Kia has had a tie-in with the NBA, which just so happens to be resuming later this month. It’s likely they have had marketing budget committed to it (eg TV ads during the games and playoffs) and maybe they’ve decided to focus on the Telluride (purely hypothetical marketing angle - something about spending time with family, doing remote vacations, etc during the pandemic).

Just a speculative time-sensitive reason why they could be pushing units into the market that aren’t just SXPs and custom orders.

Hello! I'm brand new to the forum. I'm going to be ordering a Gravity Grey SXP, and just wanted a little advice. I live in West Virginia, and the in-state Kia dealers are not high volume (not a highly populated area). But Cincinnati, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, DC, and Charlotte are within about 5-ish hour drive. Would I have a better chance of getting the new Telluride this year if I order from a higher volume dealer, probably in one of those areas, or does that not really matter? Also, if I order from out of state, is dealing with the state sales tax and registration a huge hassle? Thanks in advance! (I'm also starting to look back through the forum to see if I can find posts where someone may have already answered the questions).
