• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... HUD alignment/rotation issue?

Picked up my 2021 SX-P yesterday (ordered back in February). One issue that i noticed is that the HUD doesn't appear level with the road/horizon but rotated clockwise. I found in the settings that the rotation can be adjusted, so i adjusted it back counterclockwise. Rotating it all the way back counterclockwise as far as it can go (which seems to be 5 clicks), its now very close to level by my eye, but even still not quite there. While I guess its possible that i'm sitting slanted or something, it seems to me that maybe the unit wasn't aligned properly from the factory (or maybe shifted during transport or something like that).

My question is do many people find that they have to adjust the rotation on the HUDs? ie is this a common issue or did I just get one that is particularly poorly aligned. I certainly plan to tell my dealer about it and try to get them to adjust it, but it would be helpful to me if i had a sense of whether this was normal/common variance or something else.

Thanks in advance!

Not normal. Should be level. I have never had to adjust rotation. Maybe something jiggled loose.

Mine wasn't level either and I had to be adjust the rotation. Glad it wasn't just me, lol. I also wish the height of the HUD display could be saved to the memory settings. My wife and I need 2 different height settings in order to be able to see it.

yes, good to know that the experience isnt unique. @Jmccurry13 i assume that once you adjusted the rotation it has been ok since? my biggest concern would be if something was loose that it would just continue to move around over time.

Yes, it has been ok since. It isn't exactly level like you mentioned but it hasn't moved back to the original position since I adjusted the rotation.

The seat memory saves the drivers seat position, both outside mirrors, HUD and instrument panel illumination settings.

The owner's manual says that only 'driver seat and outside rearview mirror position' is stored.

Yeah, I couldn't find it in any of the manual's either but this was discussed in the Stinger forum and I confirmed it on my own Telly SX-P.

Late reply but I just picked up my new SX-P and I can’t get the HUD height to save with the rest of the seat / mirror settings. Am I missing something?

So I'm assuming you have a 2021 SX-P. I can only confirm that it works on my 2020 as I just went out and checked again. The HUD setting for my wife is higher than mine since she is shorter. I can watch it move up when I press the "2" button (wife) and back down when I press the "1" button. Maybe someone else with a 2021 can confirm that the HUD settings are still being saved with the seat memory buttons.

I think he figured it out, you have to be stopped or in park to save it,
