  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just graduated college a year early with tons of scholarships, and I immediately began a job when I graduated, so I have some financial room to buy a nice car for my wife and I. My 2001 Ford Explorer Sport college beater is about to go kaput, so I'm looking to get a Telluride within the next 6 months. My family is in the generational habit of buying a solid car and daily-ing that bad boy for 20+ years, so that's my plan with the Telluride. I'm in NoVa, and markups are from $5,000-10,000, so I'm mostly on here at the moment to find some insight on paying MSRP or below on a Telluride (preferably not from the lot, we'd like to build ours!). The trims I'm interested in are the EX and SX (obviously I'm dying to spec out an SX, but my wife is attempting to be a voice of financial restraint in my ear). If anybody has tips for a first-time car buyer or how to buy below/at MSRP, please let me know!

I’m (hopefully) getting my new Telluride here in the next week or so in Richmond - ordered an EX in February. I’m paying MSRP - when I was initially looking, I think a dealer in Fredericksburg was also not marking up - I’d check around just south of NoVa, and I don’t think you’ll have a problem ordering at MSRP.

I literally just read a thread about the Costco Car Buying program and the Muncie Kia out of Indiana (selling below MSRP), and I'm seriously considering just going out of state for it now. What dealer did you buy with? A quick Google search shows West Broad and Hyman Bros Kia are the closest to Richmond.

Congratulations on your graduation. Double congratulations on your early graduation, the scholarships and finding a job!

Z.

If you’re working to make a trip to Cleveland, Halleen Kia sells at MSRP and gets a lot of inventory. They have some you can claim now if you want to take the plunge sooner than 4-6 months.

Got mine from the Kia Jones in Bel Air, MD at MSRP. The vehicle has SX trim with Prestige package and it was the best deal that I can find within 150miles range.
