Order to delivery time

@bwpinti , you are one persistent individual. I told your story to the better half and she said that we would have walked long ago. It’s amazing to see the handful of folks on here that this is happened to. Unfortunately, the consumer is powerless. But goodness, this sucks.

Hey @StephenCantrelle, @Mweiland or any other dealer that can chime in,

Can you answer these questions:

1. Can you order a regular SXP-T yet, Non-Nightfall?
   1. If not, any idea when ordering will become available?
2. When do the order windows/allocations open for ordering and how often?

Trying to find out if my dealer is feeding me BS on the 90-120 days on my order. I tried searching for this info but couldn't find it. If it already exists someone please point me in the right direction.

I'm sure a dealer will chime in - you asked same question on Saturday. And you were asking about VIN 97962 a few times. Work with your dealer to get what you want. If you don't want the Moss Nightfall, then reject it. And hope they can get your actual order in the next few months. I'm sure they will be able to eventually submit it - if they get the allocation in mid August, then they can submit it then. Else, it may be September. Your dealer has to earn the allocation. And once it's submitted, then maybe a month and a half until delivery. So possible. You "ordered" in February. Some people are just getting theirs delivered after ordering late last year.

In the meantime, read the thread "Latest Info on Ordering through KFOS" and then you will know what to ask your dealer about allocations.

If you're impatient, which it sounds like you are, then take the Nightfall. If you can wait, then wait until Kia is back to producing a lot of non-Nightfall SXPs again. It will happen.

I guess I am getting there since I put my deposit down in February and my dealer rep has said so many contradicting things it is hard for me to take them at their word. That is why I am re-asking specific dealers on here. Especially as I see a number of SXP-Ts roll on/off the line. I just want accurate information and I appreciate the info you have provided. There are so many variables at play. Dealers get so many allocations per month. So it depends if they are a high volume dealer and how many others are in front of you. You need to ask them where are you in the que. how many people are waiting for SX Ps ahead of you. For example, if they are getting 3 per month to order and there are 9 in front of you waiting, you will be waiting for at least 3 months just to place the order. Then once placed, it will be another couple of months before delivery. From what I read on here from those in the know, once a Vin is created, it’s about a month to 45 days till delivery. I first ordered in March/April. My dealer finally called me two weeks ago to tell me my order has been placed (SX P w/ tow). I was given a screenshot of my order with an ETA of 10/4. I will be looking for the VIN to be created sometime in mid to late August. Stay positive and keep inquiring. Good luck

More than likely order is placed in Kdealer and is in queue now.. if entered into KFOS you would have an ETA within a week of being entered.

Can anyone confirm that dealers are able to order SXPs (Non-Nightfall) when their “order window” becomes available? If so, does anyone know when those order windows tend to open?

I think it’s around the 15th of every month. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later, depending on trim

Negative. It’s the same thing I received (from the same dealer). Someone with more knowledge can correct me, but that’s a Kdealer entry.

Edit- what I mean to say is that that order is que’d in Kdealer for submission into KFOS.

So excited that I have my VIN from the dealer AND I see that it popped up on failcat yesterday, YAY!!!! @StephenCantrelle I have been following this site and stalking failcat for months! Thank you SO much for giving us all this outlet. Not sure if it is too soon to tell but they are saying 8/25 delivery. This dealership has seen quite a few Tellurides arrive early lately.

@StephenCantrelle would you be able to provide some insight? If it is KFOS, how long should I expect to wait for the order to get "picked up" and a more specific ETA?

Never did, never got a VIN either until I found it on Failcat and asked them to verify that a particular VIN was my car. I passed on that car at Kia of Fargo though. I am getting a factory allocation from a Minneapolis dealer.

The 2021s were starting to hit dealer lots by the time my order showed up and my car was the last 2020 built for the Fargo location, I didn't want to pay the premium price on the outgoing model. There were also some cosmetic issues with the vehicle so I let it go and found another one. I ordered 2/15, it showed up 7/15 and they called me almost a week later. They won't sell the incoming Tellurides until a slow day like Mondays or Tuesdays.
