• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Widescreen Android Auto support 2021?

I am guessing since Tellurides don't have Wifi, Android Auto Wireless does not exist on the 2021's correct?

Correct, no wireless implementation. There are USB receiver units that you can use to add it, but I don't have any personal experience with how well they work.

I have a 2021 SX -- no widescreen android auto and no wireless. The latter would require different hardware, but the full screen is just a software issue. So I'm trying to be hopeful that the upcoming version 14.5 software update will enable widescreen android auto...but i'm getting ready to be disappointed and then to try to find a way to drum up enough support to badger kia and mapnsoft to fix this.

Actually like @BrendonSF said there is a workaround for Wireless. You need a slave Android device via USB that creates a Wifi for the Master (phone you use) to make it work.

It's a homebrew solution called AAGateWay XDA Labs | AAGateWay

Not sure I will bother though.

I don't have a Telluride yet to test this on, but in a previous vehicle I was able to force it to go 1080p widescreen in android auto's developer settings: Android Auto update delivers widescreen support - 9to5Google.

Just went to look and my option (Pixel 2 with Android 10) for the 1080p is not labeled as "force" but "allow negotiations for up to 1080p" .. selecting that option made no difference unfortunately.

yeah, though i have seen discussion of ways to force that apparently work in other cars, i have never heard of anyone successfully getting widescreen android auto on the telluride and i havent been successful playing around with it myself.

I saw a post on a Palisade forum that it could be coming with the version 15 update in Q1 2021 (per MapNSoft). So that may be relevant to the Telluride in hopefully the same timeframe.
