• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My new telluride on order. Drove one first time today. Is there one driving mode that’s quieter than the others?

Uh, no. I don't think that makes much sense. But, certain trims have acoustic glass which is supposed to dampen some noise. I find the cabin exceptionally quiet in an SX. What trim did you drive?

Wow, wasn’t aware of that. Do you know from what trim level acoustic glass is included?

All trims have acoustic windshields. The front doors have acoustic glass on the EX and SX.

i was drivingthe sx ltd. on a test drive i am listening for anything/everything with radio off. Maybe im over reacting/just came from 18 years of driving MDX s. With radio off in MDX i can hear engine as well when accelerating. Thx

The acoustic glass DOES dampen the noise such as wind, overall "outside noise" but there still will be "engine noise" and with this GDI engine and the 8 speed electronic controled tranny it CAN be a bit different......but it works wonderfully and, honestly, as an old "car guy" I still like to hear a bit of the whole process!!

The Telluride was the quietest vehicle that Car and Driver tested in 2019. It is an incredibly silent and well-mannered SUV.

Of course, it has an internal combustion engine. It’s still going to make noise, especially under load. But nothing unexpected.
