If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

My husband can't drive stick.... he'll never understand the feeling of executing a perfectly timed 3-2 shift as you round a corner. I miss driving a manual transmission. I don't miss sitting in bumper to bumper traffic in said manual transmission.
Living in LA, i def do not miss driving manual in traffic. My first car was a manual civic then a mini coop manual. God i miss that mini coop. But now i put my feet up on the dash and i cant go back from that lol

after I get my Telly and my boss aka the wife takes it away from me, i'll definitely be looking into the K5 only wish it comes in a manual transmission. Like someone said nothing better than a perfect change of gears round a corner.

Oh I dig a good meme. But your game was weak. Especially since you posted the same one twice ;)

@gman1868 , this is how you do it ^

Twice? Of course, the name is...

August now the highest volume month of Telluride Production. Also - looks like KIA is really pushing on getting Nightfall Prestige trims out - ahead of other prestige orders. Volume has started picking up. Congrats to all those that ordered a Nightfall Prestige... EX Premium has also seen an uptick in production. Interesting how LX and the base SX and EX remain relatively low production. It seems that all their increased production capacity over the pre COVID high point in Feb has primarily gone to Nightfall Edition and increased S production. Yet the longest waits remain SX Prestige...and that build rate is still below Feb when the wait was 4-6 months.

Thanks again for these graphs, great data to see albeit not what many of us want the results to be.

Looks like moving my deposit and order from an EX-Premium w/NF to a base SX is going to add months to my wait!

Yes, great visualization and much appreciated insight. Do you just chart in Excel or use something stronger like Power BI, @MarcinTexas?

Looks like SX numbers are maybe at their highest so far?

Excel. I am a finance guy and Excel is my go-to tool. Quick and easy.

Overall production is way up! Seems like Kia is scaling the business in an attempt to meet demand, I would think the highest end trims would be at the top of their priority list (higher profit/margin).

I had been waiting on getting an update on my ETA based on the news from everyone else who ordered the same color/model/options as me that continued to slip. I finally asked for an update today and my new ETA has now slipped to 11/9. With our luck, they'll start cranking out GWP and Wolf Gray models next like they have been with the nightfall packages taking priority over our old orders.

This was the explanation from my dealer for the delay, "There has been about a 45-60 day delay in the schedules of Tellurides. On going Covid staffing issues and parts issues." Obviously this is not the case...

The graph shows about 6000 vehicles but Telly-stat shows 9681 vehicles in the last 30 days. Why is there such a big difference?

Because I was filtering for just AWD...my mistake. Here is the graph for both FWD/AWD.

There's a lot I don't understand about Kia, but the #1 thing is why they make the folks willing to pay the most (SX-P) wait the longest. What sense does that make?!?! (I'm a little over 10 months since my order was placed and I still have no VIN, so I very well could end up at the 12 month point with this!)

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.
Chwtom i ordered the same vehicle on the same day. I was told i would receive my vehicles 10 weeks from then, but i haven't received it yet. Every time i get to the projected date they tell me it'll be another month or two. It's very frustrating at this point. They finally told me the truth and said they don't know why other dealers are stealing my order. I'm at a loss.

No - the production numbers clearly show it isn't a parts or staffing issue. When dealerships make statements like that - they either don't know or think buyers are stupid. Production is higher than it has ever been. The plant is running like a top these days. Also - the excuse that they can't get them delivered quick enough doesn't add up either. I can see how they are having difficulty getting this higher production rate out to dealers - but that isn't the entire reason many of us are still waiting longer than we should. The primary reason (as the data now shows) that delivery rates on old orders isn't happening is because KIA is prioritizing Nightfall Edition and S trim (I can only assume to fill dealer inventory) over existing sold orders.
