Which dealerships??

CA is the only state that it is charging extra for this car.

New Mexico is also...though not quite as much - +$1900 from the dealer in Santa Fe

Holy Crap - I just called a place in Dallas and they said they were selling the Nighfalls fo 12 over MSRP. Silly me thought they meant 1200 over MSRP. After talking to the guy for a while, I learned that he was talking about 12 THOUSAND over MSRP.
"Houston we have a problem." At that point the conversation was OVER!

Hi All,
Am becoming quickly educated on Kia Telluride through this site.
Does anyone have a lead on NJ dealer with more reasonable over MSRP cost for a 21 Telluride nighthawk with Prestige? I’m based in union county 07090.
Thanks in Advance!

Kia in Nutley sells at MSRP. Things change by the minute so best to call over there for an update on what they may have. Good luck! I'm in LI and searching everywhere in the area as well. For anyone looking on LI - Riverhead is now above MSRP.

Sadly I wasn't writing them down - I was calling all over the place. I just remember it was in or near Dallas. But after talking to some other dealers, I'm wondering if they misunderstood my query and were quoting me for a SX with the Prestige Trim and not the EX with Premium?

All the dealers in the SF Bay Area and LA Area are charging anywhere between $2k - $6k mark up above the MSRP. I called a dealer in Houston, TX and they are not doing that. CA is the only state that it is charging extra for this car. I guess is the law of supply and demand.
I know of a Kia Dealer in the Philadelphia, PA area adding $3000 over MSRP on the Telluride!

I bought an sx from a dealer 4 hrs from me paid msrp, when i finished the deal they told me a nearby dealer sold an sx for 57k the exact same as mine w/tow package. I told them what a sucker and drove off.
May I know where you purchased from?

I visited the dealerships in San Antonio and was quoted anywhere from $5,999 over MSRP to $9k over MSRP. Called a few dealerships around Texas that appeared to have a Telluride I'd be interested in in stock. They were all in that neighborhood as well except for one dealership who was accepting offers on their SX, and they'd be calling back the winning bidder in a couple days. haha I told them my bid was MSRP and asked if I was the highest bidder.

Mike Shaw Kia in Corpus is where I purchased my SX AWD from. MSRP + $1,890. The $1,890 included some things like tint, a year of service at the dealership, some theft protection, and a polyseal treatment. It was the best deal I found, and I ended up really enjoying my experience working with them. They delivered the car to my house in San Antonio at no extra charge and we did the paperwork at my kitchen table.

We should stop calling it dealer mark up. It is nothing but pure and simple gouging !!

These dealers here in Florida are driving me nuts at this point. Trying to buy an SX or SXP. I've worked with about 10 so far, even some in person. The best I've gotten so far is about $3000 over MSRP (+$900 Dealer fee). Most are 5-10k and not budging, telling me I should definitely buy from the dealer offering me 3k over.

I do have the option to buy a 2020 demo SXP at original MSRP, but its a 5 hour drive and they are shorting me $500 on my trade.

I'm not really willing to wait much longer. I'm going to have to put some money into my current vehicle very soon.

Just venting - this is frustrating! LOL....

I've been quoted at 2K over MSRP for a Telluride EX AWP at the All Star Kia in Baton Rouge, LA and Premier Kia of Kennar, LA. I almost bit the bullet, but when I read here that some folks are actually getting the car at MSRP, then I can't give up. I've never paid over MSRP for any vehicle ...

Ouch. I would definitely try a different dealership. Ive heard of honda dealerships doing the nitrogen bs.

The dealer I went to had a 5
$5,000 markup. My daughter bought one of the first ones out last year and paid $2.000 under the MRSP. I want one but not until I can buy it for at least the MRSP. Till then I will drive my 15 year old Chrysler mini van, still runs great.

I went to see the Telluride for the first time today. The dealership I went to, which will remain nameless, didn’t use a standard markup, but added over $3,000 to the MSRP with items such as security system, nitrogen filled tires, and a paint/fabric protection. Needless to say, I won’t be buying from them if they don’t remove those charges. I can wait another 2-3 years when my next lease is done to take a look.

The dealers around Atlanta do the same thing; Carriage KIA, Gainesville, GA; KIA Duluth,GA, KIA Athens,GA this is no different then someone charging $50.00 for a gallon of gas during power outages
