If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy a Telluride and from what I’ve read here, people are fortunate when they pay MSRP. I’ve found a dealer that says they’ll do MSRP, but they did mention a destination charge of $1,170.

My two questions: is destination considered paying MSRP or is that a mark up if you order the Telluride (as opposed to getting one right off the lot)? Also, are people here having luck not paying destination?

Destination charge is paid by all buyers in the US (and Canada for that matter.) It is a legal issue, and everyone must pay the same amount. It cannot be waived. Typically, a dealer will quote MSRP including the destination.

Thank you for the heads up! Good to know 👍🏼

Destination is another charge I wish they would just said profit. The other funny one is floor mats. Yes it comes standard with side airbags but floor mats is a $210 option?

I have been looking for the right deal for 6 months. Every dealer was charging 3k initally..now 10k over sticker..until I found the golden nugget. I found an SX Prestige Moss Brown with Dune interior at Sticker. I was amazed..I immediately signed the buyers order. And then I drove to the dealership who was charging 10k over. The vehicle is amazing. I prefer the Moss Prestige over Night Fall. I dont really like the night falls rims. However for some reason it looks the best(night fall) with gravity gray. My dealer says they dont do mark ups.
I paid $47,958... SX Prestige MOSS With Dune Interior They took $500 .

Not that it matters, but I'm still happy to hear this. My Gravity Gray w/gray interior AWD Nightfall SX P/T should be here at the end of the month. Can't wait!

I think Everlasting Silver and Gravity Grey look the best. I was torn between the two. Congrats!

Would you do this deal?

2020 SX-P Demo unit w/6500 miles for MSRP ($49,000)

Thoughts? I'm leaning toward doing it because it is the exact package and color combo we want, and it’s available immediately obviously.

Me personally, no but understand everyone’s situation is different. You can get 21 model for the same price new.

They should come come down on the price. Check what your trade in would be on it once you purchase it with 6,500.miles on it..check retail and trade in.

I have had no luck finding a 21 at MSRP here in Florida. Best I’ve found is $3900 over.
It depends on whether you need a car now or if you can wait. If you are able to wait, you have many options from out of state and possibly nowcar.com. I can’t vouch for nowcar but a few members are close to delivery and can share their experiences.

@frankrp , personally, no. Even though those miles are only up and down the street, that’s a lot of fingers touching all over the place. That’s not that big of a deal, but that combined with the fact that they’re only at MSRP with last year’s MY is a big turn off. I think they’re testing your resolve. I’d propose a counteroffer and then walk if the dealer didn’t oblige. At least demand invoice. They’re going to turn around and slap a 21 on the lot that they get on invoice to do the same thing as the 20 and they’ll make money on selling that 20 at MSRP.

Each requirement is different, but to me, that would feel like settling - even if it’s for the exact build you want

Live in Atlanta but was in south Florida past week for work and found Doral Kia offering me a EX with I think premium package for no mark up. I am set on a light interior and all of their models were with black interiors. Bruce Rosenberg

Thanks Bruce! That’s quite a haul from where I am in north FL but I’ll check them out.
