Non Nightfall SX Prestige Waiting Room

Well, I might be oldest order to not yet be in KFOS: January 7, 2020.
Apparently I just missed the September allocation at Muncie, who warned me there would be a very long wait when I ordered. No complaints about them.
I am patient, but not happy to see so many Nightfalls and so few SX-P's.

Order February 14, 2020; I was told very recently if KFOS took all Muncie's September allocations I might make October allocations (so probably not then), looks like November, same experience with Muncie, told it was going to be a wait, and they keep me in the loop. No issues with Lucas and the crew. Same exasperation that the don't make any SX-Ps; I've done a lot of research on a lot of the competitors and I still come back to the Telluride. If I'm still trolling this thread 3-6 months from now....

I keep making the same PSA over and over again. If you want an SXP you have to be realistic around when you may have a new vehicle.

This is DEFINITELY causing people to add NE. Wonder if that is part of their strategy to make more $$$.

Prospect: Hi, I want to order an SXP with your dealership.

Dealer: Well sir or maam if you add NE you will get it this year if not it will be 6-8 months from now.

Prospect: Sign me up for NE those rims look OK now that you put it that way!

I hope not. That plant manufactures the K5, current Sorento and Telluride. You would think they could manage a ramp up...but who knows.

For consensus purposes I am in as well. First ordered in April 2020. Entered into KFOS July 23. SXP Tow Everlasting Silver with steps. First ETA was 10/4, now 10/31. I just saw my dealer getting allocated a Wolf Grey NF SXP in FailCat. How does that jump in front of the line over my SXP Non NF??? SMH

Just trying to liven up the mood here after the crap show of misery that was yesterday in this thread. I waited 7 months through the shutdown and all that to get what I wanted so i feel your guys' pain.

If we're talking about having something better to do this morning, don't you have a senseless email to be drafting rather than responding to me?

I share your feelings about the ridiculousness of the Nightfalls getting pushed ahead of other orders. But, you're on the schedule, if you don't want to wait, take your $$$ to a competitor rather than just bitching non stop. That's how this stuff works. But, people just want to bitch. Core issue in our country if you ask me...

Your so wrong on this one.....while agree people bitch for stupid reasons......those of us waiting for over 8 Months while others get purchase done in weeks is warranted to be bitching. Especially when there is no rhyme or reason to the process. It’s simply a fairness issue.

When I ordered my car in Feb, the dealer quoted me 4-6 months. 6-9 if I wanted a SX-P. I knew what I was in for, got impatient myself but it is what it is.

In March, a SX-P showed up that I liked, pre sold, but I asked them to let me know if it came available. They called. I had a chance to buy it. The point of this is, that if you're going to order, sit on your hands and do nothing, you're just gonna have to wait. Some of the people who get them quickly make their own hay. Some are just stupid lucky, I've covered that before.

In my original post today, I highlighted the fact that a late availability color has hit the streets prior to people who received allocations at the same time even receiving a vin. What can you do but laugh? How about we have some laughs seeing what people come up with for responses? Maybe that helps kill another day of waiting.

You guys could march on Kia HQ, they're not going to change their schedule for you. No consumer has any leverage with this vehicle at any level. The manufacturer and dealer will gladly sell your car to the next person in line if you don't want to buy the car on their terms. Trust me, I've gone through two negotiations on these things and contacted many dealers.

The complaining accomplishes nothing as far as getting your vehicle faster but I'm sure it has some therapeutic effect in getting to vent. Which, in bringing this full circle, Dr. Phil asks you...

Again, I waited 7 months, you can't say I'm not battle tested. I deal with chronic complainers through my job. You can ask them why they don't go somewhere else and then they're back on the phone with you complaining the next day. If you don't like it, move on. Sorry about the swearing, not trying to be the tough guy, just trying to drive home the point.

Of course, being from Jersey, I understand how you might think everyone is trying to fight you. "What? You think you're bettah than me?!!!"

It's worth the wait. Just relax a little bit. Once you get a vin, it's almost calming. A lot of the uncertainty is gone, you're not so tied up in Failcat or publishing charts 3 times a day. It's just a waiting game. Knowing it exists takes a load off.

Hoowee, didn't mean to stir up the waiting room so much! It's like going back in to the dentist's office and just screaming to freak out the patients in the waiting room.

I will say one more thing. While this thread may not pertain to me, I am a member of this community and I'm welcome to bring my perspective to any thread I please. You may not appreciate it but you are not the first person to have to endure a long wait and you likely won't be the last. Perhaps someone else's perspective changes who is reading my post and the posts of others here, either today or in the future.

Even though I may have ruffled some feathers here, I'm hoping that when all you people get your cars, you will switch gears and unite with me in the fight for change. Like getting the steering wheel track seek button to work in the proper direction!

Is everybody's track button backwards?

There is already a thread about this but it's old. On the steering wheel, for volume up you toggle up, for track forward you toggle down. Is it that way for everyone? I'm wondering if there's a way to switch it in a developer mode or if it's possible to just flip the switch upside down. Has...

I couldn't take it anymore. I had time on my hands at work yesterday. I fired off a letter to Ho-Sung Song, President and CEO in Seoul, Korea and cc'd 3 execitives at Kia Motors North America. Also sent cc's copies to MotorTrend, NACTOY, Jalopnik and Car and Driver. I mentioned that our calls to Kia North America complaining of SXP ordered in December last year are going ignored. I explained that Future customers, who have put deposits down starting last year, right up until the Nightfall Edition was released, deserve to have their cars built before anyone else. I quoted their own words from their 2020 Investors Report saying how Customer Service and Customer Loyalty is Kia's main goal this year. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. We'll see if it gets any traction. I'm sure it will delay my Telly even further, as retrobution!!
