If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Non Nightfall SX Prestige Waiting Room

I'm sure it will delay my Telly even further, as retrobution!!
I don't know about that but if the car publications pick up the story and spin it into a story about how bonkers the demand continues to be for the Telluride, Kia wins big again. I can see the comment from Kia now... "Those customers' cars are all on the production schedule. The demand for the Telluride is overwhelming. That's why we call it the Selluride." And then the guy winks and actual dollar signs fly out of his eyes.

The issue with the magazines and even YouTubers is that they want to continue to receive press cars and get invited to vehicle premieres. They're not going to dog on a manufacturer too much. Can you blame them? I think of all the "New Car Shootouts" I've read over the years. "IF" they actually pick a winner, they then go down the list and give you good reasons to buy each model, all the way down to last place.

I'm willing to take that risk, if Kia perceives this as hurting Customer Satisfaction. Because it is. I don't have to take my vehicle to a Kia dealer to get serviced or oil changes. And that's where they make money.

I couldn't take it anymore. I had time on my hands at work yesterday. I fired off a letter to Ho-Sung Song, President and CEO in Seoul, Korea and cc'd 3 execitives at Kia Motors North America. Also sent cc's copies to MotorTrend, NACTOY, Jalopnik and Car and Driver. I mentioned that our calls to Kia North America complaining of SXP ordered in December last year are going ignored. I explained that Future customers, who have put deposits down starting last year, right up until the Nightfall Edition was released, deserve to have their cars built before anyone else. I quoted their own words from their 2020 Investors Report saying how Customer Service and Customer Loyalty is Kia's main goal this year. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. We'll see if it gets any traction. I'm sure it will delay my Telly even further, as retrobution!!
Good for you sir!

Please let us know if someone from Kia responds...surely you may get a generic response but it would mean the executives chatted about it. Gut tells me your email at a minimum got those executives to jump on a quick call (what's life without hope!?)

A ton of SXP (and SX's) with Dark Moss/Dune Brown got VINs today.

Hoping mine shows up soon!

If they have a week or so at this higher rate of SXP production - it seems that they could clear these old items. Come on KIA.

Additionally, as I'm 6 days behind you in my build schedule. I can follow your progress and have a good idea of when my VIN should drop.
If you guys have your build schedules then I guess you'd be able to narrow the vin creation down to a couple day window near assembly day and then another day or so to show on Failcat unless your dealer finds out first. That's assuming the schedule holds up. Once you hit body in, you wouldn't think there'd be any further delays. At least nothing significant.

glad to see an uptick in SXP's! Hopefully majority of them are sold orders that buyers are waiting on instead of dealer stock orders.

@StephenCantrelle said he thinks the VIN is generated after Paint in...which is the next step. So if that is correct - I am a day or two from having a VIN. Then the biggest risk on my end is transport delays. Fingers crossed.

Still not one GWP SXP without NF. I can only hope that mine will be the first one built.

Ah, well there you go. We'll see if that holds true.

@MarcinTexas hopefully Kia has gotten a little better with their shipping ETAs - for example my Shipment out to Dealer arrival is 3 weeks whereas yours is 5 days!

Yeah - the shipping time seems ambitious. But I think I have read on here that if you are far enough to require rail - it actually takes longer than if your dealership can take an over the road truck transport. I think most of my dealerships are direct truck/trailer from factory to dealer.

If my memory serves me, seems like there have been some hefty delays with vehicles going up to your neck of the woods as of late. Hopefully those are just isolated incidents. Stuff seems to fly into TX. You never know. Mine came weeks early to MN.
