In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2020 Telluride AWD rear end jerking thumping and vibrating

You are correct. Kia Consumer Affairs called me today to follow up and see if the dealer had been able to fix the vibration .

Apparently the dealer never reached back out to Techline the way they said they did after the initial tire replacement tactic failed to resolve it.

In any case I am glad that Kia HQ is involved now and appears to be working pro-actively to help despite the dealer issues .

I forgot to mention the dealer scratched the hell out of the wheel while replacing the tire ! They have agreed to replace it .

So far it hasn’t been a great start to Telluride ownership . If Kia HQ cant get it fixed and agrees to buy the car back I will probably buy something else ..... Perhaps a 21 Yukon or a 4Runner TRD Pro in Army Green .

I'm having the same problem with my 2021. Ancira KIA in San Antonio said they have another customer that KIA was in the process of buying theirs back. I was told they do not have a fix and KIA has yet to issue a recall (denial). I contacted KIA and a lady called me back and a supervisor was to call me back last week and as of today, 9/9/20, I have yet to hear from anyone.
My plans are to take it back to the dealer and let them document KIA's reply on the issue and then start the process under the Texas Lemon Law and get a blood-sucking attorney.
Mine vibrates between 63-75 MPH and that is most of the driving speed I do so it is very irritating. The problem appears to be getting worse and now my first payment is due.
Other than this issue, I love the vehicle.
Hi Bev,
Can you describe exactly what you hear/ feel while experiencing this issue?
My 21 has 1100 miles on it, have noticed wind noise at these speeds, but no noticeable vibration or shaking.

Chiming in to say I’ve noticed this on my 2021 SX AWD with less than 2k miles on it.

Fingers crossed it’s not a major issue but the symptoms are eerily similar to what’s described here so I’m not super optimistic. Dealer is checking it out today while they fix an unrelated camera flicker issue.

When things are good, I love my Telluride but after a series of small but non trivial issues I’m pretty jaded about the build quality.

Anybody feel a oscillating vibration at around 70mph?
SX AWD
Mine does. I have the Nightfall SX AWD.
I live in San Antonio and a Service Engineer is suppose to here the 15th to inspect my vehicle and one the dealer said has been on their lot for some time that supposedly Kia is in the process of buying back.
Two other times an engineer was coming in and they couldn't make it so I'm not real optimistic this time with one showing up.
Kia has known about this issue since last year's model and has ignored it.
Under Texas Lemon Law, I have sent the required paperwork to their address in Irvine, CA., and have uploaded a complaint form and supporting documents to the Texas Attorney General.
Since they have known about this for over a year, I am pissed and want to shove this vehicle down their throats for not addressing it and pulling it off the road.
Mine has gone from vibrating at 63 mph-70 all the way to 80 mph with the vibration getting worse.
Hopefully, my fight and the Texas Attorney General will force Kia into a recall.
Best of luck.

No issues on mine

We have a 20 sx awd
Kia did resolve our issue. Same as what you are experiencing. They had engineers come to the dealership from the plant. I guess I helped that we live in Georgia not too far from where they’re made. They first tried balancing, then they changed out the wheels, next they tried the driveshaft and finally... they swapped out the rear differential, that was the cure. We have put over 30k on it since with no issues at all. My wife loves that vehicle and so do I.

That's encouraging. That is what the Service Manager thinks the problem is also. I would drive to Georgia if they would fix it.
The first thing we checked was the tires and there was no problem with them.
Why doesn't Kia address this issue? It sounds like a pretty simple fix.

I feel the same way - we've been really happy with the vehicle overall, love the size, style, interior quality, etc. The dealership has even given us a brand new Sorento off the lot as a loaner, and it really reinforces how much better we like the Telluride. Just wish ours didn't have so many issues...

Ours spent the night at the dealership... they confirmed they felt the vibration at 65-75mph and now they're waiting to hear back from "tech line" about what to do. I keep sending info over from what folks are saying here, so hopefully Kia doesn't waste time trying to diagnose it and just goes straight to the solution. Hopefully yours gets taken care of soon too!

KIA did buy mine back but I was not able to use it as a trade in to lessen the sales tax on the next vehicle...

I plan on meeting with the guy coming from Georgia and flat accuse them of ignoring the issue and tell them they need a class action suit. It's a problem Kia has been aware of for over a year and they keep trying to tiptoe over the issues.
Like I previously said, I have already filed a claim under the Lemon Law and a complaint with the Texas Attorney General. I hope they hold them liable for everyone with issues.

mine started vibrating on startup couple of days ago, it is very minor but you can feel the vibration in the floor board and I can clearly see the seats shaking too. It doesn't seem to happen at high speeds.. I have only had this car for 10 days now.
I feel its the engine vibrating or may be timing belt got loose. Its 2021 awd sxp

Mine was only 2 weeks old when I took it to the shop. They were already familiar with the issue and stated they didn't have a fix.
Have you had yours in to have it checked out yet? It must be documented.

Mine has gotten worse since mid-August.

I just called the dealership and taking it there tomorrow morning. I will keep the status updated here.

You write at startup, this is normal for Korean gdi engines. And even with an increase in the number on the odometer and a decrease in temperature, the engine will work very loudly until it warms up, like a tractor. this is also the norm for gdi.

I see. However is there a reason it didn't happen for the last 10 days of owning it ? I also owned a 2020 telly but never felt this sort of shaking in it may be since that was FWD. Howevere it is pretty obvious shaking since it started in this AWD and wondering why it happened out of nowhere. other thing I noticed that it is driving more stiffer as well and feels underpowered. Any thoughts on that ?
