• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My navigation used to always talk. Especially when there was a red light camera. It doesn't say anything even when using the on board navigation to find a route. The volume is turned up and its not set to mute. Not sure what happened or how to fix it.

Try the reset button and see if that doesn't fix it.

Are you saying the built-in nav system gave you red light camera warning? If so, I don't think the KT system has that database.
Are you saying that turn-by-turn direction doesn't give you any audio prompts? Then as you say, something is not working.

As @ucinn suggested try reset

My city is filled with photo radar cameras. It gives you audio and visual prompts for it since the last update but now its just visual. Turn by turn, no audio as well.

You probably accidentally muted the nav volume or turned down the volume when you were getting prompts. Every single audio source has its own volume level.

Probably the easiest thing to do is pull up the map and look for the little speaker on the left. Is it muted? If not, tap on it. It’ll let you change the volume right there.

That’s interesting..I didn’t realize the KT nav system had that function built-in. Thanks for the education.

The 2020 v14 Nav update added that function.

I still have the original map data since April of 2019. Maybe its time for an upgrade, especially since I am not subscribed to UVO.

Sound reset didn't help. I guess, all that is left is a master reset. Glad I didn't save many locations yet.

Yeah it's not muted. That was the first thing I checked. I even muted then unmuted it.

If you go into the setup menu, under Sound, there you can set volume for each individual component, such as radio, voice assistant, media, nav, etc. Chances are thats set low. Other thing to check is under Setup, Navigation, theres options to not have announcements for certain things. I'd recommend reading the owners manual as it explains how to set all these things.

Checked all sound levels. Tried a reset of the sound and system. I'm still getting no voice. I've also noticed Voice to speech isn't working either. You press the mic button and nothing happens. I also made a previous post about bluetooth issues. I can't answer phone calls without disconnecting the bluetooth and reconnecting after answering the call. I've tried turning off and my phone and reconnecting. I haven't had time to try another phone but I feel like all these problems are related.

Not sure if Navigation voice will come through a Bluetooth speaker, but you don't have some sort of Bluetooth speaker with its volume low connected, do you?

If the audio problem is only happening near your home (inside your garage or driveway), you may be connected to Alexa/Google Assistant. If it happening everywhere, it may be inside you car. You may also want to check and disconnect all your Bluetooth connections to if it helps.

I have no bluetooth speakers. I have a headset I sometimes take with me but most of the time its at work and not in my vehicle.

As an update to my problem. I ran the firmware upgrade again, this time from the official kiaupdate website. Fixed all my issues.

Interesting. So what software version where you before the problem and what version did the problem occur?
Obviously V14.5 fix the issue?

I'm assuming I was running V14 before. It was the downloadable update that came out around June I believe.
