In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Canadian 2021 Telluride

From what I can see in the picture, there is some streaking and the wipers aren’t cleanly wiping the windshield.

@GreekWiz have you tried cleaning the wiper blade? Could just be dirty and creating poor contact with the windshield?
Ouzo should do the trick ..................................

No snow yet. Why are wipers shit? Is it that they are difficult to lift when cleaning windshield or just, generally, crappy?

also, I thought the higher trims got better wipers.

they are shit because they don't wipe snow off, instead the window freezes and it just makes ice glazes (you can see them in my pic on the right., they are summer wipers anyways.

growing up in Newfoundland, where we would get more snow in one night compared to others in Canada get in a month, I learned to want good snow wipers.

That said, even in the late summer, the wipers seems like shit too in the rain, missing a whole bunch of water on the passenger side.

You get Aeroblade wipers...I figured they'd work better. We will probably be getting snow in the next couple weeks...I'll keep it in mind.

800 kms on the vehicle, should not need to clean the wipers. Have only used them maybe 3 times since I bought it..

We finally found a dealer that would provide a discount for the 2021 Nightsky Telluride.
We are ready to go and order our vehicle, however torn on color...we may go black and have it wrapped with a more unique color. Has anyone in Ontario wrapped their Telluride?

So... Finally got a VIN # from the dealership. Is there anyway us Canadian folk can track the VIN to see shipment/progress/ etc?

Thanks a bunch!

There isnt. Getting mine tommorrow (nightsky). Took close to 3 months.

Anyone else in Canada dealing with a dealership that just seems... untrusting? Really looking forward to this vehicle but the dealership and customer service are seriously making me second guess. I’m going to have to deal with Kia for the life of this car and trusting the dealership and company are important to me. Has anyone else been deterred or second guessed their ordering because of Kia, customer service, or a particular salesperson or manager? Should this impact my purchasing of the vehicle?

I’m just bringing mine to my mechanic who I trust. You only need to bring it to the dealership for warranty work.
My Kia dealership seems on par with any other dealership I’ve dealt with.

I am exactly in the same shoes as you. Dealership that we are dealing with has given us no updates and when I ask my sales guy whats the status. He just tells me if we wanted to get the telluride quicker we could order the nightfall package for $1000 more instead of our SXL that would put a $2000 deposit on. Told him we would wait and I would call them in Nov aka next week and ask for another "update". I talked to my wife told her pretty much we are going to just ride this one out since our $2000 deposit isn't refundable. Hopefully drive it for a bit, hope it does not have the issues that most people have on here. If it ends up being a bad purchase I will just trade it in of a Jeep wagoneer that I was previously waiting for and go hybrid. Don't get me wrong I love all the features and best bang for your buck things on the Kia. Just weary of a the minor and major issues have reported on the forum.

I think that’s my concern. I’ve seen some of the issues on the forums around windshields and vibrations and other quality problems. I’ve had an awful time with the dealership already. If the customer service and dealership were good, I’d not be concerned at all.

Same! And pair that with a general manager that has repeatedly lied to me and also acts like every question I have is bothersome - like I should just be thankful to have a Telluride. It’s just made me worried. Luckily our deposit was only $500 so I’d 100% be OK walking away and am considering it right now.

As I posted here before, I had issues with Straightline Kia in Calgary before the 2001 Nightsky was even announced for Canada, I went in twice to them before hand with information (ammo) about the USA Nightfall, and then the Canadian "Blackline" was coming, and they just dicked me around, basically telling me I was wrong because their contact at Kia said was not coming, and telling me they will get back to me if they hear anything.

That was July, and guess what still no call from them. Just absolute garbage the way they treated me, I was willing to by at MSRP and I was just not taken care of at all IMO.

Luckily I took advice from a friend and went to a Kia dealer slightly further away, South Trail Kia and in 10 minutes over the phone, I had a deal for just under MSRP, papers signed the next day, text message a week later with my VIN, and updates all along where it was (and below in my signature). It arrived at the dealer right on the same day we excepted, and while it took a couple extra days for me to get it it, I understood the prep and trailer hitch had to be done. They still had it done 2 days after it got there.

I did have a slight issue them only offering me 10% off the labour for installing the tow package ($15 discount?) and nmo other discounts (mats, etc), and them quoting my the wrong price on the mats I wants not once but twice, but soon after a pretty terse text from me saying I would not be buying any accessories or referring anyone after not getting any love while paying almost MSRP, they stepped up and gave me a decent discount on tow package and mats.

Since then my sales guy has been really good on answering a question or two, and I was more then fair/lenient on the 3+ wait for the 7-pin to be installed, and once after dropping vehicle of, and them not having the parts (3rd party).

I would recommend my sales guy (and I have to some) for anyone in Calgary and I would warn anyone going to Straightline, but I know @Western and others have used then and have been happy (I think?) Maybe the manager was just dumb, or maybe they just did not have the right contact, regardless, maybe for in stock vehicles, they might be fine, but this was the 3rd encounter I had with them, and walked away without a vehicle for third time, I refused to pay their $2000 "Alberta" package on a 2020 I wanted to get in March.

As for issues, none so far, to be truthful, but only just hit my first 1000kms.

I am trying one tank of gas on each "drive" mode, and I am not a fan of ECO, I really liked Comfort, but now Smart is my favorite for sure. Obviously Sport is the best, but also trying to see what fuel mileage is on this thing. So far bang on 500 kms a tank, BUT my commute is only 5.7kms to work each day, and hardly any highway miles, and I like to have it warm when I get in. We also had some snow last week, and used Snow mode until I get my winter tires installed next week.

How is the snow mode and awd system? My wife is going from a 2018 outback which has a great awd system.

the fact I am getting no updates or anything from the dealership is what pisses me off. I mean they got my $2000 deposit and know its not refundable so why would they have any desire for the vehicle to come anytime soon. Also the fact maybe they bank on customers being fed up and say **** it. They know when the vehicle comes in they could just sell it to someone else and have $2000 extra in their pocket ie from me for just giving up.

Exactly. It just seems shady. Was at VW looking at an Atlas. They don’t ask for a deposit if you order provided they know they could sell it. That makes sense. It just seems like a d*%# move to take a non-refundable deposit of $2000 when they could easily sell if you change your mind.

its a shady practice for sure but like I said already decided to just keep the telluride for a abit till the jeep wagoneer hybrid comes out and is on a truck platform. We will be on our 3rd kid in the new year so we will need something bigger and rather be on a truck platform the a unibody one like the Kia. Who knows maybe the telluride might be a great vehicle and we have no issues with it. Just dont like how the dealer is doing things....
