• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Currently in Minneapolis it’s 25 degrees Fahrenheit according to my weather app it’s clear and 97 degrees Fahrenheit I can understand a few degrees difference but 72 degrees is a bit much. When you look at the three hours later it’s going to be 21 degrees which is normal and 6 hours later it will be 18 degrees.
I called the dealer and they have no idea why this is happening. I clicked on the refresh button and it gives me the correct time and current address but the temperature is not correct.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I looked at the Foreca website and no help.

Well that's the feeling when you own a Telluride even when its cold you deserve a fresh beer at 97degrees

Wow, that's pretty far off. Does anyone know what service the Kia App uses for providing the weather?

I just realized that this is affecting the temperature control. I have it set to auto and 74 degrees and it’s running the AC

Foreca is going her is in the corner of the app

Watching... I have similar concerns, but not as drastic. Sometimes I get in and the seats are on cool when outside is cold - WTF?

It is pretty strange as it picked up the correct location and forecast has the right temperature. Have you tried resetting the head unit(little button next to volume dial).

Good idea trying that now seems to be taking a while. Not expecting it to work because the temperature next to the RPM is also 87 degrees. Yes it’s official that the hard reset did not work. We did get some snow and the car is dirty. I am going to try taking it through the car wash and see if that does anything. Otherwise it’s to the dealer.

What is the red asterisk on the top right of the screen?

No issues in MN with my HD radio weather.

What is the temperature reported in your gauge cluster? There could be a problem with your car’s thermometer. Usually the current weather temp is linked to what your car is reporting as the current temp.

Same temperature it’s probably a bad thermometer

The AC button on the climate controls is always lit when you have Auto climate enabled. Unless you confirmed it was not blowing cold air after turning off the AC button manually. There should be an interior thermostat, so I find it hard to believe outdoor temp would affect your climate controls (ie. blow cold air if it is cold in your cabin).

When you start the car, there is about a minute delay before the Forca weather refreshes. During that time the infotainment widget will display outside temp based on the car’s external thermometer. If it says the incorrect weather to begin with, then it is indeed a problem with the car thermometer.

Just to confirm, you are not using an engine block heater to help with cold starts right?

Lastly, when checking directly on Forca’s website, Burnsville is displaying the correct temperature you mention. Weather overview - Burnsville, Dakota, MN, US. Maybe an issue with the software on your head unit? Maybe a full update instead of fast update to version 14 will solve?

Wait....it was 97 degrees in Minnesota today???

I wish it was that here today...

I used to live just north of that location across the river in Bloomington. Great area.

I have an update. On Saturday the weather read out was 98 degrees when it was 23 degrees. Then I received an alert on my screen saying I had a engine coolant problem and the engine light came on. I scheduled an appointment with Kia they ran a scan and it turns out the problem was dtc p00 7100 ambient air temp sensor. They replaced it and so far so good

This is an exact problem that we are having with ‘23 Telluride EX. Last week (August) my wife got an “ice warning” notification… driving in South Carolina..
