• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Kia Telluride US production stats. by trim and colors

If the sheet is all inclusive, I am sad to see not more Nightsky editions being made for us Canadians

For the Canadian VINs, the PDF window sticker is not available like in the USA. Because of this I use the UVO API to detect if the VIN is a Canadian VIN or not, but this does not give me the Telluride details like color, dealer and options. For the Canadian Telluride details I also use the Kia Canada inventory API but this does not seems to get updated frequently (maybe once a month) and is always 1 to 2 months behind the latest VINs.

Best production month in Telluride History:

Pretty close to October sales - 9,697.

Considering that some of October sales are from the end of September production and the end of October production likely not making it to a dealer lot (unless shipped to a nearby GA dealer), October sales and production came amazingly close.

October production topped 10K units. Excellent job from the folks in West Point Georgia. Thank you for your hard work on our behalf!

KIA crushed another sales record in October:

Sales were led by the award-winning Telluride SUV, which set an all-time monthly record of 9,697 units sold.

Proud to be a part of that massive number. #teamcantrelle @StephenCantrelle

SX trim and above are performing very strong in sales and % of total revenue. I doubt there is another competitors vehicle with such a high % of top trim models as a % of production and revenue.

Very nice, Great work! Looking forward to the updated version with the added interior colors.
Appreciate the effort.

Despite the ramp up in production to over 100k/yr, the Telluride still has a very low 18 days of supply.

An aside, the 1st GV80s are on trucks making their way to dealerships.

Figure the ATP as of late has more to do with higher trims making up a greater % of sales than sales above list (as Kia is trying to catch up on orders which are primarily sold at MSRP).

The ATP for the Telluride is higher than that for the Acura brand.

Updated for mid month. Currently tracking behind last months numbers. With the coming Thanksgiving break - November will see an overall drop in production, as will December. That means that dealer inventory will remain tight through next spring...a full two years after it was introduced. Simply amazing.

My ATP calculation is based on MSRP numbers from KIA's website per trim and option group. 24 different combinations of trim and option groups goes into my table. Not counting any dealer markup in these numbers as those markups over list don't benefit KIA's financials. As for the sales mix - yes - there has been a lot of catch up over the last several months - but one thing is certain - the mix of the SX and SX/Prestige both regular and Nightfall continues to dominate production. The top trim package currently represents 34.5% of YTD production. While I don't have the data - I doubt that Ford, Toyota, Honda and others enjoy such a strong demand for their top trim model. The SX Telluride has been an undeniable hit for KIA.

On top of the holidays, I’m hoping we don’t see another COVID shutdown at the factory.
While the health & safety of the workers is obviously more important, I’ve found myself checking GA’s COVID numbers after my own state...
Come on November KFOS 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Wasn't sure if that chart was something you had compiled using the MSRP of the trims/packages produced or the official ATP, taking into account dealer mark-ups, so we're probably talking somewhere around $43k.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's on par with the ATP for the MDX which has hefty discounts.

I am trying to scrape some of the VINs for the 2021 Sorento and so far I have not been successfull. Me too I am interested to find out how many VINs get produces per day compare to the Telluride.

To help me out, if someone has a real VIN for the 2021 Sorento built in Georgia this will help me a lot. I essentially need to know what is the restraint system code (7th digit in the VIN) and also what serial number they started with (for the Telluride they started at serial number 1000).

For anyone interested, here is the VIN decoding guide for the 2021 Sorento (dated from August 12, 2020): https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid/home/displayfile/740af0c6-dea2-440e-bed0-cb8b082dca4d

I am now able to scrape the VINs for the 2021 Sorento (the 7th digit from the VIN is 'L' for the restraint system code). From what I have found so far, the first VIN for the 2021 Sorento is https://www.kia.com/us/services/en/windowsticker/load/5XYRL4LC5MG001012

The latest VIN as of November 16, 2020 for the 2021 Sorento's is https://www.kia.com/us/services/en/windowsticker/load/5XYRH4LF0MG013046

So it looks like they have already produced 12,035 VINs for the 2021 Sorento (this does not include hybrid Sorento's that are produced in Hwasung/Korea).

Let me know if you are interested that I publish a Google Sheets for the 2021 Sorento just like I currently do for the Telluride.

That would be awesome!

I went through and scrubbed the Telluride Google Docs file and compared it to failcat and found failcat missing 64 vins - most of them from October. I have updated my charts and data to reflect the updated production numbers.

I would be interested in that. Seems like only LX and S are being manufactured. Wonder when they will be building the x-line.

I haven't dived into the Sorento numbers yet - but if this is true - then KIA is making a huge mistake. Because all the reviews are going to be SX / X-Line and that is what people are going to want. Seems they are making the same mistake they did with the Telluride SX Prestige back two years ago.

November Production down 28%...I wonder if this has to do with the ramp of of Sorento Production.
