Dashboard display failure

Anyone else had the drivers dashboard display fail? Several days after they fixed the trailer brake light recall my dash display on the drivers side intermittently blacked out. Car still ran but no speedo, fuel gage, etc. Dealer took 3 tries to get it to do it with them. Part took 8 days to arrive but can’t figure out how to download data from old display to new one. They sent it to local speedo shop, too new for their equipment. Now waiting for Kia engineer to call them and walk the dealer service guys through a process that may work. Been over 3 weeks without my vehicle.

Some have reported similar problems here. Most said turning the car off and waiting helped. One said he had to replace the whole cluster.

What was the conclusion to this. I just experienced the same in my 22... Less than 100 miles.
